Hi All, Can anyone advise. I have had my superb for 3 months now but recently the phone connection started acting up. I have been using it regularly with my job with no problem, but the other day the screen on the bolero said no phone connected.... strange because in the display in the speedo area all was OK? I erased the phone and re- paired with the car. Now, when I store the quick dial numbers on the bolero it stores them OK but if I leave the car and come back it sometimes has forgotten the numbers and sometimes not?? All seems OK at all times on the Speedo display. One thing sometimes it says Premium bluetooth in the display and sometimes not.... nothing changes on the phone and I have not altered anything on the phone? Is this something anyone else has had or is it a trip to the dealer?

Hi Silver 101 Yes that is why I stated Canbus LED compatable to avoid the blown bulb message

Hi Mannyo Ever seen an Audi? The LED DRL's dim all the time, especially when the indicator is used. Also the Superb DRL's are in the lower Fog lamp assembly and therefore do not interfere with the Indicators or headlamps. They are also (As far as I understand 21W lamps) not too bright and definitely not a bright peircing light. I just want to replace the 21W yellow looking low power bulb with a more modern looking LED lamp.

Hi All, Has any body with a new Superb with the DRL's in the fog lamp Assembly checked to see what type the bulbs are? I have a new Superb on order and would like to change the bulb for a CANBUS compatable LED light. Just need to know what type of bulb it is as it is not stated in the downloaded manual? Many Thanks AB-P

Hi James, do you still have the Fabia VRS to see... what have you got in your showroom... my local dealer is telling me he has sold his alocation so I better hurry if i want one as he will have to steal it from another dealer.... Please advise Thanks ABP

I agree, the Tax Issue is a serious one in many respects! Although the Merc C220 Elegance was only a few quid a month more I went for the Superb SE with a few extras. I calculated that along with the £10 a month saving in Lease costs and almost £25 a month in BIK Tax savings the Private fuel charge of 11p p Mile on top! The Superb was not only a better car dynamically it is a no-brainer economically!!! Still I have just been told by Fleet Manager that I must have the 3 spoke steering wheel with the Flappy Paddles to upgrade the SE to integrated Bluetooth Phone.... extra 50p a month... seems cheap but I didn't think this was necessary as the elegance DSG has a 4 spoke plus I wont use the Flappy Paddles... I don't use my current DSG in manual on the stick, just too good!? Stealers pulling a fast one? Oh.. I chickened out and Changed the order from Amethyst to Steel Grey... once I had seen it on the road and not in a showroom it looked a bit Pink in some lights for me! Personal Choice!

Still contemplating the C Class Merc.... I Love the superb but I may have died befor it is delivered ABP

Luky if I make 43MPG in my Altea XL DSG 2.0 PD 140... |I was very disappointed after my 130 PD Auto Superb got an easy 50 MPG without much trouble? I do the same job in both .... carying tools and equipment etc? I hope the new Superb 170 DSG is better.... better power anyway

I looked at ordering a Merc or BMW befor ordering a Superb! Why is the Lead time so long? May be they should up production?... almost feel like cancelling and ordering the Merc... 6 Weeks!! and not 4 Months? VW have obviously underestimated demand! Want mine now!!!!!!!!!!

I will be in Esher on Wed and Thurs, This coming week I have been looking at the VRS for the wife, she has a 3 yr old Ibiza 1.8 T at the moment but Seat don't do a petrol FR in 5 Door? so I am looking around. Just ordered a Superb 170DSG SE (NOT LEATHER) with options. 2 superbs, 2 passats, and a mondeo(mistake!!!!) and a Seat Altea XL... love the Seat but it is too hard on suspension despite specifying soft. I have always stuck to VW. We drove the new Ibiza FR 3 dr and got a great offer but couldn't convince her to go for a 3 door......Kids, don't you love em!!!??? So looked at the VRS... more powerful and cheaper... suits me... just got to convince her to let go of her beloved Ibiza. Seat or Skoda or even VW just don't look as good as the last gen Ibiza FR.... Difficult Sell. Plus although I have driven the more powerful VRS and Cupra they just don't seem as comfortable at accelerating as the 1.8T... May be it is CC after all as the Yanks say? Please convince us to go for the VFR Thanks ABP

I chose Amethyst. Not sure of the colour, but it will be the new colour to have, and I am sick of Black and Silver. I have a Black Altea XL... looks great when clean but bad when it is slightly dirty...costing me a fortune in cleaning, lovely Seat 5 Spoke 17" Alloys look great but no Skoda Aloys with the same look!!!! I have sayed with the standard 17" Wheels for my SE I Think the Amethyst is a Cop-Out... no cleaning and looking good.... I hope?

Does anybody know what the type of light bulb is used for the DRL lamps in the Fog lamp assembly. The lamp type is not listed in the manual. I am trying to source LED replacements, I have found a few CANBUS compatible lamps but don't know if there is lamp failure detection on the DRL's and therefore if CANBUS compatible lamps are necessary Anybody have any Idea?

Hi Guy's Chosen the Superb over a Merc C Class, after analysis it is just better built and the finish is far superior. I have ordered the Amethyst but have not really seen this colour, it was between this and black but I already have a black car so I went for Amethyst.. I hope this is a good colour. Does anybody have opinions?

Hi All Does anyone have pics of how the phone control is displayed on the Bolero? Do the steering wheel controls change the display on the Bolero. Is the sound quality OK What if anything is displayed in the maxidot display by the speedo I can skip the in car and get an after market from Vodafone if it is not very well integrated. Looking and ordered an SE as I dont like leather, and in this case xenons and sat nave are options on both cars. The parking sensors are standard on a Merc (Front and Back) This is a company car and the prices are very similar to lease £5 between the 2. The Merc does come with all of the interior lights under seat, lighted door handles etc, but I would prefer the hatchback for practicality! Plus the Merc looks like an old mans car in the Elegance spec.

I am sure I saw it somewhere but it is not mentioned in the latest brochure, If they have removed this it is becoming less and less the luxury bargain! I can get a C Class Merc Elegance for £5 more a month.. just liked the extra space, but not if they keep removing things. Please can someone put my mind at ease.

My Altea 2.0 PD DSG can also have spells of 'Chunky' running as I would describe it. Mainly when it has been run for a while and is hot. It is always fine when it cools down and starts again in the morning. All of the PD's I have had, Passat 1.9 115PS, Superb 1.9 130PS and this Altea XL 2.0PD 140PS have had this effect. Think it is a characteristic, not good but not fatal, as I said just seems to be when the engine gets hot. Maybe the CR170PS I have just ordered will have less of this problem, but as you can tell I still like these cars.

If I dont get one with the car ... and my car still has the brollie hole, I will have to buy one from Skoda then!

Still have it from my Mk1, hope it will fit in my Mk2 then.... when it arrives... eventualy
