8 months! Jeeez that's getting worse. I agree dealers /Skoda need to get totally honest with this. Must admit I might have gone elsewhere if I had known which says a lot. We did get £150 in M&S vouchers for the delay from Skoda UK when the car arrived.

I ordered my 2.o TDI CR Scout at the start of September and got delivery last week. Fairly standard but with addition of heated seats. Dealer told me it was the knock on effect of the recession hitting when car production all but stopped throughout the VW Audi group. Anyway...the car has broken down twice in the last 3 days...suspected faulty water pump. The coolant header tank has emptied itself twice. Not a good start.

Many thanks. I'll have a read. The RAC mechanic topped up the coolant as expected and left the car to warm up. Nothing obviously wrong. He thinks it might have just been 'finding its level.' Took it out for a blast along the motorway and all seems fine again...fingers crossed. My Skoda dealer has offered to take the car out for a drive to check the gear change. He also took delivery of a new Scout for himself so should be able to give a good comparison. Thanks for all the comments. This is a great site

Have just emailed the dealer to get a mechanic to take it out for a drive re the gear change. Currently sitting waiting for the RAC...the coolant header tank has emptied and the warning light come on...this is not a good start. Anyone any ideas re the legal position for rejecting a car?

I've had my new 2011 CR TDI Octavia Scout for 1 week. The gear change from 2nd to 3rd is so 'clunky' I'm thinking of booking it in to the garage to get checked. Does this sound normal?

Just ordered a new Octavia Scout 2.0TDI CR in brilliant silver from West End Skoda in Uphall. Delivery not until October so reading all about fellow Scout owners in the meantime.
