  1. Well, the monkey has not been modded.....much...at all
  2. I bought a Monkey :) I look ridiculous, but I don't care, it's put a huge grin on my face, in fact I told the mrs it's the most fun I've had in a while with my clothes on (Which, was not a good move)
  3. If I was ever in the market for a Harlley and RKS would be the one I'd go for, looks fantastic in black.
  4. My 2020 SEL has the A5 Camera as standard and I have Lane Assist coded and working, can't get the traffic sign recognition sorted though. I am certain that on the MY20 Facelift models the A5 Camera is a standard feature.
  5. I guess it depends on who did the map, and a million and one other circumstances.
  6. Took the Putin for a little spin with my mate and his Africa Twin, stopped at Parbold Hill Ice Cream van. Also fitted the Akrapovic headers to the GSA a few days ago.
  7. It certainly is, Davor aka Code Expert and I did a Teamviewer session and it was sorted in about 4 minutes Totally outstanding
  8. Could you share your coding for the Lane Assist, as I've got a Facelift with the Valeo MFK3 A5 Camera and as you say the older guides don't work for this camera. Thanks in advance.
  9. My SEL doesn’t have the rear USB as standard Mate, it’s a new 2020 facelift.
  10. I'm back in a Superb now after a disastrous 6 months with a Karoq Sportline that suffered so many electronic gremlins, rattles and other issues that it nearly turned me off the brand all together. Anyway, happy as a pig in poop, with a new Quartz Grey Facelift TDI 190 SEL Estate
  11. The electric auxilliary heater is on all the facelift models now, and as mentioned it just helps get the cabin up to temperature on cold days. I mailed SUK a couple of times as I saw it in the brochure / spec for the facelift when I bought mine. It's been around in one form or anopther on Ford's / VW's / Audi's for a while, but nothing like a Webasto heater that will prewarm the engine. I've had my car a week now and can confirm it does work It's not roasting, but on a -2c day last weekend, the cabin was at a comfortable / tolerable temperature (For a Shirt / T-Shirt wearer like myself) by the time I'd driven 300 yards to the end of my street. "Thank you for your recent contact with ŠKODA Customer Services. Please accept my apologies for the delay in my response. I can confirm that electrical auxiliary heating will come as standard with the SUPERB SEL Estate. The electric auxiliary heater is there to aid the heating system get up to temperature on cold starts – it is much like having a hair dryer in the heater whilst the engine gets up to a temperature which the system can use for the hot air. This system cannot be operated independently from the normal operation/ running of the engine – it comes on when you start the ignition (it may come on when you unlock the car I hope this information proves useful. If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me using the details below, or by coming back through to our Live Chat service. Thank you for taking the time to contact ŠKODA UK."
  12. Just gone back to a new Superb 3 facelift, and have the A5 camera, which in this 3rd gen is a Valeo it seems rather than a Bosch. I've used the guide in the Superb Forum compiled by Gizmo (Thanks to you and all contributors) but a huge amount appears to have changed on the facelift model, and coding of Lane Assist, and Traffic Sign Recognition is different, but I'm struggling to find were a lot of it has moved to. Coding the KESSY Button works as per the guide / tested adaptions, but not a huge amount else. Car is a 2020 Superb SEL TDI 190 Estate Genuine VCDS Hex V2 "enthusiast edition" I've attached an Autoscan, and thanks in advance for any help / advice. FluffmeisterScan.txt
  13. Same engine and chassis, but a 17" front wheel, the Turban had GSA wheels so a 19" up front. The Pure is bum basic, and I had a lot of R nine T stuff left over from the previous bike so moved some stuff over. I just like boxer twins, but I am pre-Ewan and Charlie having had an R100S Airhead, and R100GS and an R1100GS before the craze started. I got an excellent deal on the Pure as it was end of quarter and the dealer needed to clear two bikes to hit target, so with discounts and a couple of hundred quid in, I walked out with this. I like the Hexhead motor, it's got a lot of character, it's got throttle cables, not ride by wire, it farts, rumbles and backfires, unlike my GSA LC, which is a fantastic tool for distance work and crap UK roads, but it's a little bit clinical compared to a Hexhead.
  14. Sold my Turban and bought an R Nine T Pure sport and have done a bit of farkling, it’s a lovely sunny day tool to go with the GSA workhorse. there has been much farkling from stock 😀 Dart Screen HP Corse Can Removed noise control valve Removed charcoal canister Rev counter fitted wrapped the intake snorkel Fancy Bike thing tail conversion rear subframe removed scrambler high seat fitted DNA Filter kit Ventureshield paint protection film Bar end mirrors and other nik naks
  15. A curse upon them Dealer first blamed SmartLink my reply was ....maybe, but it's still SUPPOSED to work That's not a get out of jail free card
  16. Been away from the forums for a while, mainly posting in the bike section these days, but now have a Karoq Sportline, which is "OK", I'm sure I made a mistake coming from my Superb Sportline ...maybe. Anyway, the point of this is over the last few weeks, the car has developed an electronics gremlin, it's only just covered 2k miles. The Headunit will lock up and Crash, or just randomly reboot, it's a fairly frequent thing, once a week at least. A couple of times over the last month, the car's electronics would not shut down, as in I parked up, I pressed the KESSY Button, Dash stayed live, headunit still playing, open the door, head unit continues, Virtual cockpit stayed live displaying the clocks. I have to start the car, wait a moment or two, then shut it off again. It's off to the dealer this Thursday, but I've little confidence in them as since Alex Lawrie were taken over by Johnsons, the attitude towards service and fault finding has been pretty dire, Lightcliffe are local but not much better. I've got the codes that were logged from Carista as I bought that, but wondered has anyone else with Virtual cockpit and Amundsen headunit experienced the same / similar? Cheers Tony
  17. We went into ****ing via Titmoning, and prior to that we hit titz It's a positive smut fest, reminded me of ****, and the final fuel stop as a squaddie before crossing the border at ****um ....... what fun, I bet the Briskoda swear filter is going mental
  18. And the tour of lovely towns continued Until you've heard your Garmin announce "in 500 yards, you will reach ****ing on the left" you've not lived
  19. IMG_1891.HEICJust come back from an epic 3,000 miler around Austria, Slovenia and Northern Italy on the GSA, Slovenia is beautiful. Had a couple of off's on a dirt road in Slovenia and a small section on the Strada Della Vette Wrapped up with Rammstein playing live at the Munich Olympic stadium and a 552 mile run back to Europoort the next morning. Enjoyed a nice Currywurst after crossing the Rhine at Remagen, whilst checking out the remains of the Ludendorf bridge.
  20. Whipped the charcoal canister and associated junk off the Turban
  21. No GPS Mode, but not sure I'd actually want that Here's some footage from Bruce aka Teapot one, the guy who went round the world on a GSXR1000
  22. I've fitted an Innovv C5 Camera to the GSA to use as in "Dash Cam ****er" mode, seems pretty impressive so far, also an Akrapovic can along with a couple of other tweeks.
  23. I have mate I will leave others to Beta test it, I was not going to change my GSA, but the dealer offered me a superb deal on the last of their 1200 GSA Rallye's with everything on it for less than the price of a bog standard GS. I've seen the new 1250GSA in the flesh, and even though my GSA is a bit of a ten pinter to look at, the 1250 looks to have fallen out of the ugly tree and hit a few extra branches on the way down. I still love Boxer engines though, and I reckon this "last" of the 1200's is about as good as it gets for now. I've never felt it to be under powered, I can "ride" and how much power do you need in an "adventure" bike. Rammstein, I'm a Rammstein Junkie, seen them in Berlin, Manchester, Birmingham, and Moscow....Anyone who can sing, whilst on fire.....well, they get my vote
  24. Actually got out for a ride, at last I am back in the same country as my bikes Next years Bladebusters Euro trip planning has begun in earnest, With Holland, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Back to Austria, Munich and the Rammstein gig in the Olympia Stadium (tickets already procured) and then a blast home in time for tea and medals. I've done a bit of farkling on my Turban with a shock change and have to fit my new fork springs and set that up. I've also fitted a full ventureshield kit to the GSA, which looks pretty good, I'm getting to be a dab hand at that stuff.
