Richard's mk1 Fabia thread. (Yes, I have a mk1 Fabia problem...)
I did message that show a good while back and never got a reply. 😄 I'm not so desperate as to keep trying with different people, just thought it would be a fun thing to do.

The UK sales brochure says that Fantasy Green was not available as a saloon, so I think the only ones are LHD cars in the EU.

Richard's mk1 Fabia thread. (Yes, I have a mk1 Fabia problem...)
All these years later and I still have a thing for Fantasy Green. Currently have: 1.4 8v Estate bought 10/11 years ago and already pictured on this thread. 1.9 SDI which is rough but plods along happily on 185k miles. 1.4 16v Elegance with the AWESOME Mystic Beige interior option! the Elegance is the only Fantasy Green one I’ve come across in 14 years. So what with the fancy interior I had to get it about 4 years ago. It’s been fettled over the last few years and is now in great shape!

The Twins. (And Yeti RS)
Much appreciated, but it probably comes across as willy waving a bit too much so I try to keep myself more to myself these days. In fact I’ve cut right back on Facebook, Twitter etc… for that very reason. Times are tough and posting your Bentley (still in the VW group!) just seems a bit, IDK, wrong.

The Twins. (And Yeti RS)
Hello all! Thought I’d pop back in and give you an update… Yes I’ve not been in here in years, had a hell of a job trying to get back into Briskoda previously and gave up. But was searching for something else on my old iPad which seems to have remembered an old log in’s details so I can finally access Briskoda again… After the engine fire plans were put in place to upgrade the Yeti. No point spending more money to have it back the same. A fully built more modern alloy block 2.5tsi was done that will take 800+bhp and a DSG box as it’s probably going to need to go flappy paddles at the power level. The shell was stripped and rather than a roll hoop behind the front seats, a full motorsport compliant roll cage was welded in. This is where we are now, but nothing has happened in the last few years. ive been fortune enough to have the money to go and do other stuff. In 2021 I raced a Nissan GT3 in Britcar. In 2022, 23 and 24 I’ve been racing a few things including period 90s Super Touring Cars. It’s a shame but the Yeti has fallen out of favour and sat there. im now in a situation where it needs maybe 20k spending on it to finish it. And quite simply I can’t justify that on a car that isn’t as good as the race cars, complete overkill on the road and unlikely to be used other than a couple of track days per year. So I suspect this is the end for the project. As I said it’s a shame, but I’ve been very fortunate to have a McLaren 765LT etc… over the last few years and dumping a ton of money into a 15 year old modified road car that will never be as good is just hard to justify, I have looked at selling it complete with the brand new forged engine but I doubt there would be any takers at the 20k it would break to with the motorsport dash etc…. so it seems this journey is destined to end with a sell off of the parts and the shell being squashed. And yes, in 2018 I went off, did the furry thing and got it mostly out of my system. Nice to have a bit of variety in life!

56 plate Fabia mk1 vRS - Brisky Bargain. (Back up for sale!)
I bought this as I had a donor car with the needed parts. Just for a bit of fun really. Anyway... 56 plate Skoda Fabia mk1 vRS in Red. Date of registration 10th October 2006. It is a cat D car that's had light end front damage that didn't set the airbags off as it was to the "soft" upper front area above the bumper. Pic of the damage here: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/305098-richards-mk1-fabia-thread-wrc-pastywagon-etc/?p=3705308 It's got 117,760 miles on the clock. Due to being cat D it has no service history. Cam belt looks good and it drives well. It has a fully functioning electric sunroof. It stands me in £2,289.20p The price I am asking is £2,289.20p There are some slight kinks by the headlights that will need straigtening at some stage, but the car is perfectly usuable as it is. Bonnet has a bit of stone chipping too. I'd suggest at some stage popping the lights out and tapping the wings straight. Pic of this work needed. Thanks for looking. I feel it's well worth the price, but am not looking to make a profit or loss out of it. You'll need to apply for the V5 from the DVLA, or I can if you are happy to wait a few weeks for it to come through. I'm easy. As I bought it from the auction and am not running away I am happy to give a receipt for the sale to show the buyer now owns it.
