Anyone in Manchester able to help me out with the large speedo/Km to mph change? matt.

I have this sub box now and I’m getting rid of my car if anyone is interested in having it FOC. It would be nice to keep it in the brisky community.

I got in my car today and the electric windows wouldn’t work. When I got him from work I had a look on here for some possible solutions to this. I came across a thread where someone recommended checking the loom plug and when I removed the rubber gaitor on the drivers side and I saw there were a couple of broken wires (pictured) I can’t find anything on line to tell me what these wires are for. Can anyone tell me? Further Information on my window issue, they both go up and down when using the key to lock/unlock the car from outside. Neither switch inside the car works. Thanks.

Anyone around that can confirm these are ok? Old one doesn’t show any voltage. New shows 11V Ordered from ECP and they showed as correct when I put my reg in.

All four of mine looked like the left hand one when I took mine out 😂

Nevermind I found one on YouTube.

Problem solved. I got a second hand Motor from my local breakers and now it works perfectly. Although there is a little whine I suspect can be cured with some wd40. Oh and the replacement fan motor cost me £10 👍🏻

Old thread but how easy are these to do yourself? Mine have failed and with the current Covid-19 lockdown measures in place getting to a garage isnt possible. But if I order online I’d like to try myself. Is there a help guide for it?

Had a go at that above but not joy. Ended up taking the fan unit out. The fan works ok (noisey) for around 10 seconds then slows to a stop. Going to order a New fan and see if that fixes it.

My heater blower is having an issue. It sounds like it’s caught on something or there is something preventing it spinning properly. It’s happening all speeds and it’s not affecting the temperature. Just the speed. I changed the resistor a couple of years back so I don’t think it’s that, although this could be a possibility. I have attached a short video trying to capture the sound. As title. heats fine and drivers side heat and moves perfectly. any ideas?

I don’t suppose you know which fuses off the top of your head? I’ve had the interior lighting fuse blow recently, I haven’t put a new one in as It’s not urgent.

Ok so it’s been a while since I’ve been on here but it’s always been a very helpful site. Now, my issue. My heating and ac was working perfectly one day, the ac was freezing cold to the point I had to turn then blower down as I was freezing. The next day, nothing. There seems to be normal change when when pressing the recirc button, with regards to air speed. When on hot it’s blowing ridiculously hot. When recirc and ac on it blows lukewarm but no colder. I cant understand why it can be working perfectly one day and not at all the very next day. There is is no damage to the rads or anything.

Do I need to worry about any swarf getting into the cooler when drilling? Is it best if I take the cooler off first or possible to be done on the car?

I don't suppose you know of a thread similar to the top boost pipe one, that lists parts required to fix etc?

Yea ish. It Huddersfield and is a bit slow to pull. I already done top boost pipe. Is the bottom one common for popping off also?

It's been a while since I last posted on here. I've been enjoying trouble free driving the last 5 years. That at all ended a couple of weeks ago. First I had the common earth strap alternator fault and then my top boost pipe blew off. I have replaced the boost pipe with one like is on the thread on here using the parts off eBay. It seemed to be fine for a couple of days. But now I'm getting a judder at low revs with loads of black smoke out the rear. Can't get it plugged in until next week at the earliest due to work so I was hoping one of you wonderful lot might have an idea.

Sorted it now. But now I'm thinking I might get the Airtec front mount with pipewoek off eBay for £495. Going to be keeping the car for s few more years so will do front mount and EGR delete while I'm at it. So this will be for sale shortly haha.

How much did you need to cut off the bottom mate? Done the top but not attempted the bottom as yet.

I'm pleased to confirm this is my issue. Although it's somewhat different. My issue is that the wire has snapped inside the black plug. I've managed to "stuff" the wire back into where it's meant to go for now, until I can get it to the garage tomorrow. It seems to be working. Not sure how my mech will fix it as it could be tricky to solder.
