  1. Hi chaps - I am back on the case with the Felicia - Rear window Heater - there is power to it so it must be the element itself somehow. There are no apparent breaks in the element strands.
  2. Thanks - It was like this when I got it. I'll try the fuses and rack boots...
  3. Any ideas whether this is normal? Power steering not working, and with car jacked up, unpleasant squishy liquid noise when turning wheels manually from lock to lock. Could this indicate the problem? No power steering warning lights on dashboard and fluid level ok.
  4. I'll try and make it clearer. 1. Rear window heater - I believe the relay and wiring is good. 12+ volts goes to heater when switched on but it has no noticeable heating effect, so I presume the element within the glass has failed. 2. I had not seen any mention of sliding contacts within the motor - I will now check those. Thanks
  5. Hi chaps - quick update: Rear window heater: I think I made a mistake when I tested the circuit of the rear window heater - I left the wires connected so I got a circuit. Having tested everything else I realised what I think is my mistake - I disconnected it and now do not get a circuit so I presume its is knackered? Rear wiper park: Still cannot get this to park. The F7 relay controls wipers front and back. Front work fine, without it neither operate at all. Connections to rear motor are sound. Is there a rear wiper position switch somewhere in there? Thanks
  6. Hi Ricardo, I haven't had a chance to fix and test the wires yet, plus I'm waiting on delivery of a new relay as I think one (INT) is missing. Thank you for your invaluable help so far.
  7. Thank you. I attach picture of wires - some damaged - but not apparently interrupted? How best to repair?
  8. Bonjour everyone, My (year 2000) Felicia 1.3 LXi estate rear wiper only works if I hold the wiper stalk forward - so I have to let go at the right moment to park it in the proper place. I have checked fuse and relay - I tested relay it triggers with voltage and resistance is negligible. The rear window demister doesn't work. The switch light indicator suggests it is on, the fuse and relay are also ok and there are no apparent breaks or loose wires. Finally - anyone got a spare third brake light? Mine was broken off by previous owner somehow and cannot find one to buy. Thanks Gerard
  9. I feel stupid but stuck in traffic just noticed the gauge does move, up to about 70.
  10. I have a multi-meter if thats what you mean? Not sure how to set it to test this so if you can explain that would be appreciated. I bought the car recently and the gauge has never worked. Thanks
  11. Hi My temp gauge is not working - if it is the sender is that on the water pump and do i need to replace the whole water pump? Car runs fine and not hot/cold so i 'm assuming pump ok. Anyone have any recommendations please? Thanks Gerard
  12. Excuse the cover photo - my police friend vandalised my "Classic Felicia" car photo - just because it seems to have been owned by a drug dealer in the past and i got a visit from the fuzz within 24 hours of buying it at the auction.

  13. It is - doh, estate queries bring up nothing but yes the saloon brings up roof bars. Thanks
  14. Hi Can anyone point me in the direction of a roof rack that will fit my Felicia 2000 1.3LXi estate that does not have roof rails please? p.s. excuse VW! hubcaps - came with it and better than the alternative for now thanks Gerard
  15. Step-son's 1.4mpi 8v been in to garage for exploration of misfire and come back with lots of stuff unclipped or carelessly reassembled, and i never noticed these four holes - is something missing? Thanks
  16. Hi, Im about to get replacement ignition pack - do i go with Intermotor or VAG parts?
  17. Indeed, thank you everyone - your help really is invaluable
