  1. Great work! Thank you for bringing back to the community Rob's work and knowledge. Cheers! Dragoș
  2. Tuningmania, thank you for your suggestion. Personally, I don't have the files. I'm looking forward to see Rob's decision.
  3. Hello, mbc, It might also be the broken connectors on the rear glass. Have them checked with a multimeter. I hope this helps. Regards, Dragoș
  4. Dear community members, Today, as I was trying to review some useful information on www.pimpmyskoda.co.uk regarding some upgrades RobClubley did to his Octavia vRS, to my unfortunate surprise, the site was no longer available... I said to myself that there must be some connection error, but it turned out that it wasn't. I sent Rob a message asking him if he knew what the problem was with his site. He replied that his web hosting contract ended, and he decided not to renew it, as there was a cost to keep it and that he hadn't been maintaining it since he sold his car (and moved on to Project Rusty). Since I find his site extremely useful for our community, helping me many times solving the problems I had with my car (and I bet it helped many, many other members), I asked Rob if there is any possibility to share all that knowledge. Rob then replied that if someone had web hosting space, he could provide the website files. So, with his permission, I'm writing this post asking the community to lend a helping hand to revive his website. If someone has some web hosting space, and is willing to host his files, please reply. Cheers, Dragoș
  5. The holes need to be 16mm, and I have the picture to prove it.
  6. I forgot to mention that in order to fit the standard bushings, the holes need to be enlarged to 18mm (if I remember it correctly).
  7. Hello, I bought mine from here: https://www.hg-motorsport.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p3643_VAG-1-8T-DOUBLE-DIN-sidemount-intercooler--SMIC-.html. It definitely makes a difference in temperature drop for the air intake. However, mine was a previous version that didn't have the air guide cover and the the option for different pressure sensor sizes. I had to re-bore mine. Hope this helps.
  8. Hello, I don't know if they will fit, but if i were you, i would sell them and buy a Brembo set from a Leon Cupra R. They are bolt on and feel great over the standard RS brakes. And they de easy to find and refurbish in the UK. Cheers! Check out my setup below: PS: sorry for the wintertime pics.
  9. Thanks, Mannyo. Do you remember, by chance, what was the clearance between the tyre and the coilovers with the 225's on? Cheers!
  10. Here is a picture with the clearance of 205/50 R17 tyre against suspension.
  11. Hello, Could anyone advise me what is the maximum tyre size (width) I can fit on my 17" 7J stock Spiders without rubbing against the suspension? I also mention that my car has an H&R coilover kit, the clearance between the tyre and the wheel arch being of about 1,5cm. Also, the clearance between the tyre and the suspension is about 1,3 -1,5 mm with 205/50 R17 tyres on. Is there anyone with a similar setup who can confirm that I can use 225 mm wide tyres without rubbing against the suspension? Is the 2-3 mm clearance enough to safely run this tyre size: 225/45 R17? I need to order them tomorrow, so an answer would be highly appreciated. Many thanks! PS: I've already read other similar tyre size posts and couldn't get a proper answer to my questions.
