  1. Hi, ive searched on forum but seen no mention of creaky suspension. I've a 2 year old Greenline, its started creaking badly when parked and you step out. Can get it to happen by rocking car. Any ideas? Maybe need to get under with some WD40??
  2. Hi Charlie B72. My last Yeti a 2010 1.2Tsi had the timing chain tensioner and turbo shims replaced under a recall/warranty when I complained of the "start up rattle". It had 20K on the clock and was approx 19 months old. Local dealer Victoria Garage at Maud were as usual excellent, it was done with no fuss. I now have a Greenline 2 (which is ace!) and would not go anywhere else for my servicing. Good luck sorting it out but it is a well known issue with these engines.
  3. Hi, thanks to Jon B & Auric, I didn't realise there was volt dropper in the plug. Shows the value of the forum.
  4. Hi Jon B, thanks for the info. I will follow that routing. It sounds like you have fitted a socket, I intend cutting off the 12v plug and hardwiring to save on space. Thanks again Alan H.
  5. Hi, I am buying a Roadhawk HD and fitting into my Greenline. Anyone done this already? Particularly interested in running cable down window pillar (how easy does trim come off?) Prefer to wire permanently - I assume there are spare fuses etc Welcome any help. Thanks Alan H.
  6. Hi guys, been trying to find source for Sonax Xtreme Protect & Shine Hybrid NPT but failed so far. Been on eBay, Amazon & googled?? Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks
  7. Thanks Mikep, I have persevered and succeeded!! My hands are too big, managed better by removing fog bulb allowing more space. Much better with the LED's - helps to be better seen during daylight hours.
  8. Ive bought LED's to fit in the DRL's. (Including Resistors) Anyone have a tip for removing the bulbs, finding it difficult especially passenger side to get fingers in and turn bulb. Once I get them out Scotch Locking the Resistors will be easy but I'm struggling to remove the little bugg++s.
  9. A list might help: Llanigraham, needs price. Truthseeker. Servicepoint, needs price. dbg400, needs price. Bettysman, needs price. Alan Harrow, needs price Please cut and paste list, then add your name.
  10. I have just bought my second Yeti via internet broker, this time from Happy New Car. Not far from you, Simon Forth was excellent to deal with and I have a Greenline2 SE in Black Magic delivered within 4 weeks.
  11. I have 17" on my current Yeti. Change to 16" steels for winter with Michelin Alpins. (I live in Aberdeenshire) To be honest I really do not feel any difference between the two sizes, When someone mentions "Jiggly" then at present in Scotland all roads are "Jiggly" as the road surfaces are fairly poor in most areas due to lack of "funding". I will have a Greenline11( from Happy New Cars) next week which has 16" wheels and I am sure I will be just as happy.
  12. Hi, I am in process of changing my 1.2 Tsi SE for a Greenline 11. My current Yeti is on variable servicing, is this also an option on the Greenline11 ?? Car should be on the road around 17th July - supplied by Happy New Car.
  13. No contest for me - it's please change position of rear mirror on windscreen. I have a 1.2 Tsi ( 17 months old now) I need seat at a certain height for a back problem, this means I have to duck to see junctions etc. When I change (another Yeti definitely) I will go for the self dipping mirror/auto wipers so the mirror is on a different position.
  14. Hi I used Autofinders to buy my Yeti year past June. Steve Taylor was excellent, was kept informed through the process. I saved £2000 compared to the local dealer in Aberdeen. We live in Aberdeenshire and made a few days of trip collecting from Chesterfield (the car was sourced form a Skoda dealer in Carlisle) The registration document arrived in a couple of week. Bottom line is I will definitely use them again once I replace the Yeti, I am currently thinking of a Greenline !! But will have a longer wait than than last years 12 weeks.
