I had mine done when i had my vrs, i think it looked alot better looked more modern IMO here's a pic

Standard airbox and filter in mine, runs well and pulls really strong.

Honda integra dc5 always fancyed one of them but they are still quite expensive or a corrado vr6 turbo wish I had the money and knowledge to carry out the work myself, but a vr6 turbo would be a lot of fun

Aye that's what I thought mike, my car was boosting at 10psi untill I switched it off, was like I had lost the remap and the car was back to standard, well weird

Had the vrs down to edinburgh and experienced a weird issue with it just as I was leaving my house. As I was climbing a steep hill in 5th gear I lost power, car was only making 10psi on the boost gauge( I don't know if that classifys as limp mode or back to standard) it was like I had lost my remap. I had no warning lights or anything, I stopped and checked the coilpacks etc. Switched the car off and I was running back on remap boost peaking at 19psi. Car drove perfect for the next 160miles to edinburgh. I didn't have my code reader with me so couldn't check for faults but as I say the car pulled well in all gears for the rest of the journey. The car hasn't been driven really in the last 2 weeks could it possibally just be a sticky injector or something as its been sat for a couple of weeks, was very weird, ill scan for faults when I get home on sundayy just wondering if anyone had any ideas. Coilpacks were replaced last year with the recall.

Best colour, kind of the same look as my vrs black wheels I have the bump strips colour coded and the grill black though, Looks spot on though mate

Same with my car (52 vrs) it sits all week and gets used a wee bit at weekends. It puts out a lot of white smoke untill its about to temp after about 10minutes of running. Just put it down to it sitting all week and this colder weather we are having just now. Dosnt use any coolant and there is no mayo etc

Standard valve and standard airbox for me, my compbrake one was faulty as it was leaking somwhere so just stuck my original one on and its been fine

Yeah I didn't want to go ott with the styling mods plus the paintwork is in great conditon for a 9 year old car, but the thought of a wrc spoiler has got me thinking....

Hmmmm to fit a wrc spoiler or not to fit a wrc spoiler that is the questiom haha. Opinions on wrc spoiler's guys? Would it look good on my car or daft. Paul

Was out for a sunday drive this morning and rememberd to take my camera so i have taken a few snaps of the car. Not really done much to the car recently apart from fitting some phillips xtreme headlight bulbs and putting a fresh mot on her, was really chuffed with the mot only required a headlamp to be alligned which was great. Still plan to fit a RARB at some point but ill be attempting to replace my drivers seat base as the bolster is starting to look a bit tired hopefully get round to ordering the base next week Anyway here are some pics of the car

Lee, i have a blueflame exhaust and a revo map was mapped by a revo dealer in inverness. No your right i couldnt find a rolling road up here so went down to edinburgh to see what power she was making, only made 182bhp because i then found out i had a boost leak, replaced the pipes under the manifold and it now pulls really well very impressed with the map. Wallace performance in aberdeen have a rolling road aswell i think they mapped my mates fabia vrs. Are you still planning fitting a k04 turbo to your vrs mate? PM me next time your in and about inverness and ill keep an eye out for your car Thanks for the kind comments mate, yeah i went for subtle mods for the look of the car don't think vrs's need much done on the styling front as they are good looking cars imo. I am annoyed with the spliter though made a mess of fitting it (shouldn't of fitted it with a really bad hangover ) was going to whip it off and refit it but i cant honestly be bothered. She flew through an MOT last weekonly needed a headlamp alligned still very impressed with the vrs after owning it for nearly 2 years.

My stage 1 REVO'D vRs hits 18psi and holds at that until about 4.5k and tails off to about 15 psi. Been impressed with the revo map its very smooth and pulls really well.

After thinking about what to do for the last couple of days decided to keep my vRS. I can't think of any reasons why i should actually sell the car so i will be keeping her , its in next week for an mot after that i shall be ordering an RARB and the polybush kit and possibally some other mods. Thanks for the advice guys

This is my point exactly, i have always liked the leon's but is it really worth selling my vrs for a leon for example is the leon really that much better than a vrs? I know they have the BAM engine and brembos but space wise i don't think they have nearly as much room as the vrs and i think they look really dated inside compared to the vrs IMO. Its a tough descison, the car i really want is a golf r32 but can't afford one ( don't really want to go down the road of finace/loans on a car as i plan to buy my first house) so who knows :no: , maybe after few handling mods i would stop having these thoughts of selling as it is a very very clean car. Ok i have had my vrs for nearly 2 years now and starting to have thoughts about selling again but i need some advie on wether its worth it or worth throwing a few hundred quid at her to sort the handling etc and possibally a frount mount. I was planning a RARB, quick shifter, dog bone mount, and replace all the bushes etc as the car is now 9 year old with 87k on it. I think this would transform the car and make it handle alot better i think this can be done fairly cheaply aswell there is also smaller things that i would like to do replace the foam base on the drivers seat change the carpet for a dark bora one and the possibally fit a frount mount but i just don't know what to do. I am looking to buy a house this year and the vrs is fairly cheap to run and hasnt let me down yet which i am very happy about plus my insurance renewal in march will be £500 which is not bad for a 22 year old If i was to sell my vrs i would probally have about 4,5k-5k to spend on a new car but i have been searching the net today i don't know what would be better than the vrs really been looking at leon's golf's bmw's etc but nothing has really jumped out at me and said buy me, quite like the bmw coupe's but the snow up here in the winter would mean i wouldnt be able to go anyhwere , I know its my decison but what would you guys do if you were in my situation? 5k to spend on a new car or spend a few hundred quid and sort the vrs and run it in to the ground? here is a pic of how my car looks

Sorry to hi jack the thread what is the capacity of the vrs fuel tank? When i fill mine up the pump clicks off at 45litres every time but i am thinking it will hold a good bit more or am i talking rubbish?

Temp sender was changed last year mate for the newer green version. The exhaust was changed for a blueflame CAT back system last year could possibally be leaking at the sleeve where it is welded to the cat dosn't sound like its blowing or anything. The car is in for a mot next week so maybe something might pop up. Thanks

Need a bit of help please guys. I have noticed that my fuel consumption is very poor on my vRS. I filled her up last Friday with shell v power like i always do (first time i have filled her in a while) as i was using the car for a 150 mile drive down to edinburgh. I was using the car about town up with me for a couple of days before i came down to edinburgh yesterday. I reset my trip on the dash like i always do to see what i can get to a full tank. My gauge is now showing only a quater of a tank left and i have only covered 210 miles which i think is fairly poor. I haven't been driving the car hard and it was only serviced about 1000 miles ago where all the filters and oil were changed. I don't really use the car much these days as i have a work van it only really gets used at the weekends but as i am off for 2 weeks it has been used more often. I am just a bit concerned that this level of fuel consumption is pretty poor i know the car aint a diesel but would expect at least 350 miles to a tank but there is no way i will get that now as i have a quater of a tank left. Any suggestions what could be causeing it. Possible sticky brakes maybe as the car sits through the week, i never leave the handbrake on though while its sat idle through the week always just left in gear. Cheers Paul

As said try changing your dv for the standard one if you still have it. I was having issues with my compbrake dv as it wasnt sealing probally fitted my standard one back on and havent had any problems yet

Car is looking great mark Defenetly one of my favourite vRS'S on here.

Just paint it mate, I painted my one gloss black to match my spiders and mirrors and its been fine. I only keyed the chrome litterally a quick rub over and then just went ahead with primer and then paint. I put about 5 coats of laquer on after I had painted it and it has lasted well. I haven't had a single stone chip on it yet and still looks as good as it did when I painted it. So from my experience I wouldn't say you have to remove the chrome compleltly but others might have other oppinions. Have a look for my build thred "my corrida red vrs" for pics mate. Cheers
