  1. Replaced the brake light switch and all back to normal. Cheers for the help
  2. Stupid weather and no garage!! Will need to wait to replace it
  3. I just disconnected battery but will pick up a switch tomorrow. Is there much involved in changing the switch?
  4. Lads the brake lights on my vrs won't switch off. Keys out of ignition and car locked and still staying on.. Anyone had this before?
  5. OK so the rear wiper has finally given up. Gets bout half way across the window and stops, it will move again of you give it a push. But I'm wondering has anyone ever taken the motor apart and tried to grease it or anything or is it better off just getting new or is it worth hassle of taking it apart and giving it a go at repairing??
  6. Mr_b_rock1210 Need to start taking more pics of my vrs in fairness
  7. my plan is to fold the carpet back, and use a wet vac to get as much of the water out as I can tthen gonna leave the car running in my garden with the heater on while carpet is folded back., iv noticed it getting a lot drier over the few days, but will get at it the weekend.
  8. I plan on just folding back enough so that I can get the wet dry vac in and give it a try
  9. Cheers for the advice bowders, iv a friend who works in Skoda so gonna get him round the weekend, remove the drivers seat and fold back the carpet
  10. Yeah I cleaned them out last night so it is sorted it's just a matter now of drying out interior. The sound deadening seems to be holding a lot of water so the wet dry vac is limited
  11. No iv found it, today was really sunny in Dublin so there was no rain. It happened yesterday during a really heavy rain fall. The panel where the wiper motor is was full of water
  12. It's really wet to be honest. I think it may be best to take interior out,
  13. Some of ya may have seen on the fb page my vrs had a leak and the carpets are soaked. After an hour of wet dry vac last night they still are soaked. I'm wondering will it hold the water meaning taking interior out and cleaning it?
  14. Is it a specific diesel center section and is it as simple as straight swap?
