Thanks for the info! Checking my pockets...

Anyone got any comments on petrol turbos such as expected life (miles), frequency of oil-change, driving tips, general maintenance costs ?

Hi all. I'm thinking of buying a 1.2 litre turbo petrol Octavia. I've never had a turbo before and so I googled the topic . It seems that turbos require more frequent servicing and oil changes, therefore expensive to keep. Does anyone out there have a 1.2 litre turbo petrol Octavia? I would really welcome your comments and experiences. I'm after economy, not speed, and I would describe myself as a "steady" driver; when on motorways I drive to the limit and take my time on ordinary roads. Thanks in advance!

Love your front garden!!! -
Skoda have known about this problem for years. How come it is still happening? Makes me wonder about the old Skoda jokes...

Hi all. I gave my Octy Mk 11 its weekly wash today and noticed the driver- side front foglamp slightly loose. I can't see how to tighten it up before it gets worse and falls out. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks!

I presently have a 1.4 petrol Octy Mk II with which I am well pleased, but I may change it for the new model, which has a 1.2 litre petrol. This engine is plenty fast enough for me as my reflexes ain't what they once were, and fuel economy is important to me. I would welcome any comments from any owners of the 1.2 litre as to how they find it, how they reckon it compares to the 1.4L . Thanks!!
