  1. Thought that would maybe be the case. I don't have Maxidot (boo), I do however know someone with VCDS. Cheers.
  2. Yeah, it's Dan thats dealing with it now. He agreed for mine to be replaced last week and chathams phoned soon after to book it in. I've actually been meaning to catch you dougie to see if you knew about this issue, glad your getting it sorted too
  3. Thats kind of the way things went for me. My car is in today to get all 4 injectors replaced, should get the car back tomorrow. I've got a fabia scout 1.6tdi courtesy car with only 550miles on the clock, nice wee car to drive
  4. Same here. Simon was meant to call me today, but didn't hear anything.
  5. Well as I expected the diagnostics showed no fault. The guy at the dealers said he's to report his findings (none?) to skoda customer services. Out of curiousity I was going to wait till Monday or Tuesday to see if I hear back from skoda UK before contacting VOSA, but on reading what jfarhead wrote I might phone CS this afternoon. Getting a bit annoyed lol.
  6. That was Simon who said that. Very mixed information from them lol
  7. I personally feel like I'm getting fobbed off. My car gets it's diagnostic check this afternoon, but I doubt any faults will show up. If that's the case, I'll send an email to VOSA and see if they have any luck. When speaking to Skoda uk I was led to believe that people aren't getting pre emptive replacements unless there is or has been any history of injector problems on the car. Reading posts on here clearly suggests otherwise. We'll see what happens this afternoon.
  8. I'll see how it goes on Friday, if they try to fob me off I'll give VOSA a phone. Cheers for your help.
  9. That's what I thought. It was Simon at Skoda uk that I spoke to, but I've got a feeling I'm not going to be successful at getting them changed.
  10. I've been in touch with Skoda uk and my car is booked into my local dealer on Friday. It's getting checked on the diagnostics machine first to determine if the injectors need replaced. Is this the same procedure that other people have had with pre-emptive replacements? I'm preparing myself to be told that the injectors are fine and they won't be replacing them lol.
  11. I got my stream stereo replaced with the dance unit as well. The multi changer worked no problem when it was first fitted, but the ipod/aux port didn't work. I tried to argue with skoda uk that the dance unit wasn't a satisfactory replacement for the stream stereo, but eventually I was told that they could activate the aux port. I took my car back to the dealer and they managed to get it working. If I'd known then what I know now, I'd be pushing for a bolero unit. I'd even offer to pay some cash towards the replacement. The dance unit is very basic, it doesn't even look very nice. It does have ok sound quality though.
  12. I had a EP3 type R and always enjoyed the vtec. Found the car frustrating to drive at normal speeds though, so tended to drive everywhere like a tool. Before I got my VRS I test drove the new style type R, always thought it was a nice looking car. The ride quality was ridiculously harsh, that alone was enough to put me off. Even heard myself call it 'jap crap'. So glad I didn't buy one.
