I own a VW UP, used to have a Citigo, and it has the information you require, i'm pretty sure the current Citigo is the same in this regard, using your phone app

First thing i did when i took a test drive back in 2012 was go straight to a motorway. To be honest i was amazed how good it was at 70 mph

1.0 TSI 95 SE L Quartz Grey On Order!
MikeW replied to swooshty's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
I have the same engine in my UP TSI, it's a goodie -
Had them in my 12 plate Citigo - and also in my 17 plate Up!

Where's the SD card slot?

I'm thinking of, one day, replacing my current 2012 Citigio with a new one. I read that you no longer get the PID, but you get mirrorlink on the phone, and there's no CD player. Just wondered if anybody has pictures of the new interior?

Just taken in my car for a service and MOT. My car is four years old and has done 39,000 miles. I have received a text from the dealer to "click this box for a cambelt change" and a "red warning" symbol next to the box. Having owned previous Skodas i know that the cambelts are usually changed at 4 years, i notice that whenever this question has been asked on these forums about when to change some people say 4 years, some say it's got a longlife VW cam which doesn't need changing at that interval. Anybody know which one it is?

Indicated 74 mpg going from Leicester to Skegness once

I wouldn't worry about it, it's a lightweight car with hardly any soundproofing, mine's a 12 plate and has made many noises from new, but goes well

I've done 23000 miles, original Bridgestone Ecopia's still going strong. Still well above the legal limit - happy with this.

Is it worth buying the live traffic and safety camera services?
MikeW replied to YBZ's topic in Škoda Citigo
Please tell us how to turn on the camera alerts? I've had mine for over 3 years and i've never found the option -
Bridgestone Ecopia on mine - 21,500 miles done and still plenty of wear left.

Mine was one of the first too! Had my MOT a couple of weeks ago

You raise an important point. Insurance, if they can avoid paying out they will, so best to have the DRLS working.
-
That's interesting. My Car was an ex-demo, so i got no accessories with the pid, so i'm unable to plug it into the computer unfortunately. I do not have a lead that fits.
-
They've got it working again, all is fine - apart from trying to press the up and down icons. They sometimes don't register, and when they do it's very sluggish.
-
So, what happened with you pid then if you don't mind me asking?
-
My PID died the other day so i took it into the dealers. (wouldn't even show up when i pressed "media" on the stereo and was totally dead) They now inform me that it's working again. So, it would appear that my car may have lost the ability to recognise the pid. Any ideas?

I get the whistling noise too! Been doing it for about a year now.

Always take mine out. It's a bit of a pain, but it only takes some toe-rag a couple of seconds to smash their way in to a car.

They mentioned a "software update" on my second service, not sure if they did it though.

Neat feature, never heard of that before.
