Following on, an ERF code will fit, I fitted one to my car tonight (unfortunately it was as bad as the FMH I took off) ratios are different, but I doubt you would notice,

I'd also like to know this please, my box, (a FMH too) shat its pants on the 11th, having a hell of a job to find a replacement

But it starts no problem originally, not slow/stiff to turn over, same as every other time, I'm not ruling out that its the battery, I'm just not convinced, surely it would act the same after being parked up all day, in the same cold temp, but it doesn't

Strange one for you Twice in 2 weeks during really cold snaps, my vrs has acted strange, go outside and its all frozen up, jump in, start it up and turn heater on. Return after 20 mins, car all warm and defrosted, but most if the dash warning lights are on, powersteering doesn't work, and things are beeping at me, when I switch the car off, and go torestart, nothing, everything works, heater fan, wipers, fuelp pump, but no engine turn over, bump start it and its fine, no lights on or beeps! It can't be the battery, or it wouldnt have started originally! Help!!!!!!!!

Hi all, just fitted a new double din head unit in my vrs, used the guide off here, very helpful, thanks. My problem now is that there is a strip along the top about 1/2 an inch between the bottom of the switches, and the top of the stereo surround, is there an off the shelf part I can get to fill it in? Afternoon all, Yesterday I noticed the brakelights on my 56 plate VRS were on all the time, I pulled the fuse to avoid draining the battery overnight, and the glow plug light started flashing when the engine was running. A quick search on here pointed me in the direction of a faulty brakelight switch, I've had a quick look, but how do you get the panel off that covers the actual switch, it looks to me as if its part of the dash!! How do, Just bought myself a 56 plate fabia VRS at the weekend, got to say, I'm shocked at how quick it is in standard guise. Its an ex company car, with full history, done just under 80k, was originally looking for a seat leon fr, but luckily for me I couldnt find one, Hope this forum will be the wealth of knowledge that im hoping it will be.
