Do you have the front bumper? If so, what is the condition like? Thanks.

Rang a powder coaters in Leyland & they can blast & paint the wheels for £35 each, but the tyres would have to be removed. They only paint in silver or black though. That's probably gonna cost me close to £200 in total I would have thought. Mmmmm....decisions, decisions!

Thanks guys....appreciate the replies. It does sound expensive, but the work looked very good. There was a set of Aston Martin wheels in the show room, waiting collection, so they must have a good reputation. Will keep looking, but might also see if I can knock him down a bit for "cash".

Probably been covered 100's of times! Ha! Been quoted £275 for all 4 wheels on my Fab Vrs: Tyre removal. Chemical dip. Blasted. Sanding/filling of scratches. Choice of colours inc silver, anthracite, gun metal grey, black. Tyres fitted. Balanced. This was on Poulton le Fylde industrial estate (as I was passing), but any recommendations around Blackpool/NW? Is that a fair price or if not, can you point me in the direction of a decent powder coater nr me? Cheers guys. ????

Squeaking from NSF wheel on my Fabia
Hodders replied to brucey72's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
I had the front console bushes replaced which did improve the squeaking, but this was a different noise that I feel the op & myself are experiencing? ...it's more of a squeaking when the pads rub against the disc. Perhaps a new set of discs & pads will sort it out? Could also be the caliper on its way out? ???? -
Squeaking from NSF wheel on my Fabia

I've got exactly the same issue but on the front offside wheel. Sounds like similar symptoms...only starts after a few miles & does change when I turn left or right. Brakes & pads were changed recently, but could be "budget" ones that are causing the problem? Andrew -
A mechanic mate just fitted a new wishbone on mine for £40 after the front end had been "clunking" & "squeaking" for ages. This included the console bush. Got the other side to do, so £80 in total! (That was mates rates though)!

I've had terrible squeaking & knocking coming from the front end recently. I had the wishbone replaces along with the console bush & it's now sorted. Just need to sort out the droning noise from the rear now!
-
It appears to be the alignment that's wrong....the drivers side is fine, but the passenger side shoots over the windscreen! As Devonutopia states, they aren't adjustable, so replacement might be the answer? Will have a proper look tomorrow, but it's. b****y annoying!

How do you adjust the direction of the "squirt"?! My washer jets aren't the best, but there doesn't appear to be a straight forward way to adjust them? i.e. Can't be done with a pin? Is this right & what are the options? Thanks.

Perfect...thank you!

As my dipped headlight bulb needs replacing, I thought I would ask the question....what make/output should I replace it with? Having looked in Halfrauds for over 10 mins, I walked out...too much choice!! What do you recommend?? Thanks.

Am sure you will be posting a few pics on the "Nicest Fabia on Briskoda" topic once it is complete!!

Looking VERY nice mate....can't wait to see the finished outcome. What else have you got planned for it? Some gloss black alloys would really compliment the paintwork!

Cheers Jake. I think it was Pastyboy that I had in mind....just couldn't think! Will PM him.
