Hi I'm not going mad then! lol My passenger seat back rest seems to recline by its self! Though it was my little one playing around with it until this weekend when the car was not used and got in today and the seat was reclined! It has happened several times. Phantom seat movements do exist! lol Dave

Hi All I was wondering if there was anyone out there who would be interested in playing around with my Superb? I would possibly like the Maxi display to shown the big mph display, the cruse control display to be set to active and if possible the coming home lights changed from xenons to the fogs. If anyone could help please contact me. Thanks Dave

That is a intresting mod to do! The outside temperture display during the winter months I find very useful. The problem with the maxi dot when using is that you lose the temp display when using navigation! So I would like to mod my car just to have that function. Anyone in the south west/south wales area around with the vcds who could help? thanks Dave

Hi Its done it twice in one evening! Trouble is that nothing has been done yet to fix it as no errors were shown up at the dealer. Hopefully it was just a one off but you do wonder now what wil happen if i do lose the lights again! Makes driving at night a buttock clenching time hoping they dont fail as you come up to the z bends! Lol Dave

Hi At the time it was dry and the wipers were not in use! I have experienced the headlamp wash at night and it is rather disturbing to see the amount of light output lost! Thanks Dave

Hi Thanks for the reply. I agree with you that the auto function can be a pain during the day switching on and off when they are not required! At the time they were playing up it was 11.45pm last night while driving down through the wooded Wye valley. There wasn't any external infunence to the light levels eg oncoming cars or street lights ect! Just momentary loss of all front lighting, but I couldn't say if the green dipped warning lamp dissappeared or not as I was more concerned keeping it on the road! I will run it in the manual mode from now on, but the problem I have is that i don't know if I lose the lights again I will be able to pull the stalk and use the halogen main beams in an emergency or they lose power aswell! thanks Dave

Hi After 4 weeks my Superb Estate Elegance 170 Dsg has developed its first fault! Late last night I was exploring the full potential of the car along a very intresting country road! All of a sudden the lights went off! Complete darkness to the front of the car. This lasted for less than a second and I had no time to check the dash panel or pull the main beam stalk. I checked the light switch to see if the switch was in the correct position and that was fine! (set in Auto) 4 miles further on it done the same! Again only momentarily but complete darkness! Been to the dealer this morning but no faults have been found. It was 2 rather intresting moments and I dont want to change the colour of the ivory interior if it keeps happening! Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions? Thanks Dave

Hi I've now been an owner of an Elegance 170 DSG for 10 days now! Its covered just over 2000 miles since I took delivery and I have very little to report! No rattles,no squeeks and nothings broken or fallen off! (i'm not realy surprised) I have taken the total mileage up to 7600 now as it was a ex demo and it seems to be freeing up by the day. Still slowly working through the instruction manuals for the sat nav! Hope it all stays happy and trouble free! Dave P.S the brolly was still in the door and it had some serious use this week!

Collecting mine in the next week!! Couldn't wait for the 28 weeks quoted delivery time my the dealer for a new one! Ex demonstrator with 5k on the clock. Spec and colour I wanted but with a few extras I woundn't have speced but with the cost saving I can't grumble! As it was a company purchase and my old car was leased and needs to be returned the delivery time swayed me to the demonstrator! So next week I will have on my drive a 170cr DSG Elegance in metallic black, ivory interior and luna alloys. With sunset glass, park assist, heated rear seats, removable towbar, fitted mudflaps front and rear. Cant wait!!!
