  1. I have been with the council for 26 years , in this time I have slipped down bankings and twisted ankles and had a concrete block hit me on the head after it was thrown on the he van and bounced off causing me to have hospital treatment, I could have made a claim but didn't. But this is a life changing injury.
  2. I have spent hours on grass bankings, either cutting them or planting trees etc etc so we need to go on grass bankings quite a lot.
  3. I did that first and unison's solicitor's tried first with the claim.
  4. I have lost about £4000 in winter call out overtime plus paying for hospital car parking for physio appointments etc etc.
  5. It was end of 2016 when it happened. Yes had proper boots and have gone to 2 solicitors and each time council coming back saying it was an accident. But I was at work doing my job. Council said I should have walked round the path and walked up the grass banking but I still would be going on the grass. It hadn't rained for weeks, had dew on the top being November.
  6. I work for the local council and 2 years ago I had a accident while doing my job. I am a gardener/groundsman and while litter picking a play area I slipped on a grass banking and I tore a knee ligament which cause me to have a long time off work and my life ruined for the past 3 years nearly. I have tried to get compensation but have been turned down because council insurance company said it was just a accident and no body was to blame, but I was at work and doing my job. Do you think I should get compensation?. Answer
  7. Yeah I thought this when it started but it's been a while now. Garage looking at it tomorrow.
  8. Hi guys, been a Mitsubishi ASX owner since June but was a Skoda owner for 15 years but need your help. My ASX has been making a grinding noise when I set off in a morning and when the car has been left a while. It's been going on about 8 weeks and I just thought it was due to the snow and rain we have been having , but this past week it's been drier and still grinds. The car has only done 3400 miles and was new in June
  9. I have had a MRI scan and ultrasound scan on my knee and it's been confirmed has a torn tendon in the knee. Going back to Yorkshire clinic tomorrow to see what the specialist has to say.
  10. His girlfriend's car is in the drive. He does park in front of my house from time to time even when nothing is in front of his.
  11. I understand stand what you are saying Tommy.
  12. It's blocking my view because I have the car on one side and a tree on the other side blocking my view. When possible I always reverse into my drive so I can drive forward out. I understand why he has blocked it because he has another car on the driveway but plenty of space outside his house to park it.
  13. My neighbour has gone on holiday and has parked his car in way that I am having problems getting in and out of my driveway. The car is parked on the road in front of his driveway, which means if I have to reverse out of mine I have to either take a few manoeuvres or go backwards on the other side of the road then turn since this a main road this is a no no. Reversing into the is just the same hassle. My wife says he can do what he wants it's in front of his driveway but I say it's a dangerously parked and could cause a Accident. Who is right?.
  14. Managed to get my Citigo on short term insurance till it goes on Friday.
  15. Got winter tyres/steel wheels and variable floor for sale for my old Citigo. Bradford area if anybody want to give me some offers. Winter tyres (Uniroyal) still in very good condition, 2 years old. Buyer to collect. £150 for tyres and £80 for the floor, will accept offers.
  16. After 15 years or so with Skoda which included 3 Fabia's and a Monte Carlo Citigo we have decided to buy a Mitsubishi ASX because we needed more space with 3 dogs ( when we bought the Citigo we didn't have a dog ). Picked up the ASX yesterday and noticed not has fun to drive has the Citigo but I knew that after the test drive. Those who are looking to buy a Citigo go ahead, it's a great little car. Nothing has gone wrong with my car, traveled up and down the country in comfort. It's going to auction BCA in the Yorkshire area so anyone looking for a decent car the reg number is YF15 TBO. One bad thing about leaving Skoda is this forum, had so much help from people regarding the cars. Mitsubishi forums are crap. Will pop in for advice now and again.
