  1. Had a reply from Skoda UK stating it’s the squab that’s unsplit and the backs fold 60/40. Totally unnecessary in the vehicle spec.
  2. My spec says bench seat unsplit
  3. Does the seat fold with one or two catches?
  4. I use the paddles for quick overtakes and engine braking on downhills. So glad I optioned them.
  5. Just done Croydon to Leeds M-ways and A1 80-90 mph all the way and returned 35mpg.
  6. The light on the XLR controller stays on for about a minute then goes out. Hope that helps @hpoom
  7. Easy to fit following the instruction sheets. Well worth the money IMO.
  8. You did the "Audi" mod for me which was a slight improvement but this changes the throttle response to another dimension.
  9. I was a bit of a doubter when it came to the RaceChip claims but blimey if there is only one mod you buy for your 280 this is it! It transforms the car into something it should have been out of the factory.
  10. I've tried ECO but reverted back to Comfort mode for France. Not too bouncy on the superb road surfaces over there. Enjoy your holiday! Phil.
  11. Just returned to the UK after three months away in France. Just a few notes to share on the 6000 miles. Firstly the carrying capacity even on my hatch is phenomenal. Me and SWMBO plus our Labrador together with three months of "stuff" including a towbar bike carrier and two mtb's. 2. The ride quality set to comfort mostly was excellent. 3. The simply clever way the headlights adjust automatically via gps when entering France. 4. I found the cooling ventilated seats to be a real must in 30+ temperatures. 5. The sunroof was great too on cooler days. 6. Navigation was pretty accurate on the whole but AppleCarplay maps offered better POIs. 7. Spotify and VOX worked well however all but the front speakers worked as the rears were muffled with all the "stuff" 8. ACC worked well and a real must have imo for motorway journeys. The car did us well.
  12. I push the vests to the back of the front door pockets. There's still room for other stuff
  13. The configurator has clearly changed since I ordered my MY17 hatch. I had no choice back then.
  14. The rear screen washer also activates the water jet that clears the camera lens.
  15. I thought the rear wiper was mandatory if you order the rear parking camera. It certainly was when I ordered mine. Also I took delivery last October and the washers have been modified and cover the screen well.
  16. Yes you are right markytop that does happen after leaving the ferry and before any French road signs appear. So GPS appears to be the answer, thanks.
  17. On my third visit to France in the past three weeks I think the answer might not be the GPS setting but simply the camera detects the road signs on the right. Any thoughts Martin?
  18. I have a concern with this. The hatch is heavy and needs a great deal of resistance to stop it closing. I don't think a child could stop it closing without injury.
  19. I had both my S2 and AudiTT done. Potholes damage was given as a possible cause of the misalignment. I missed the tyre wear on the inside of the wheels. I keep a check on that now.
  20. On a recent trip over to France I was pleasantly surprised to see the car automatically switches the headlights over for driving on the right. I'm not sure if this is a feature only for Dynamic Light Assist.
  21. Do check for rear disc wear as a few guys on here know mine were binding and badly scored and were reluctantly replaced by Skoda. Remember you need to flag up all snags within the first 5,000 miles for FOC work.
