I took my car to the dealers and mine were all ok and not affected by the recall??

On my way out xmas shopping this morning( nothing like leaving it late!!) the management light came one and the car became very lumpy managed to get it home rang a few garages on the off chance someone was working but there was no-one, so as last resort rang the AA as i remembered im a member with my car insurance they came to my house within 20 mins and diagonsed coil pack number three had failed :no: luckily he had one on board so fitted it and reset and rescaned the computer for codes, and all i got charged was £45.29 for the part so from the time i rang them to the car being fixed and on my way out again was about an hour and i have a healthy car for christmas. So im now going to get lots of brownie points from the otherhalf and not a black eye for not getting her any presents many thanks to the AA and merry christmas to you all.

Hi all, could someone be able to tell me the cost of fitting an aux cable to my stereo so i can play the music from my phone and not from my disc changer?? I know this should be in the ice section but thought i would get a quicker answer here!! Thanks

Hi all, I'm doing an oil change tomorrow but need a couple of questions answered, 1) Is it ok to use an engine flush? 2) Is halfords fully synthetic 5w/40 ok to use (it says vw 502.00/505.00 on the label??) 3) How much will it take to refill? Many thanks if you can help.

they are the the ones but mine is the right hand side one and its snapped at the other end right at the bottom of the block!!!

its a bit of a job to get too in order to cut the clip off as i don't want to damage anything else!!! :no: And it has completely snapped in two where it joins a 'Y' piece so cant poke it inside as a quick fix, so will it be ok to drive as it is??

HELP!!!! I have accidentally snapped a breather pipe on my vrs i have a new one on order but need to get my car to a mechanic to have it put on as there is a Weird type of jubilee clip on it?? Is it ok to drive the 2 miles to the garage with out it?? Sorry if its a stupid question but i cant think what else to do??? :S Thanks

An EML light driving home last night!!!

Driving home today i noticed my EML came on, :'( the car seems to be running fine so is there anyone near Chelmsford Essex that has a vag-com so i can get the codes and switch it off???

i have the same problem i have replaced the temp sensor and now have to replace the thermostat but wont get a chance to do it till after xmas, what harm if any am i doing to my car???

Your not wrong at all mate i was taking it to the garage to get the rear caliper changed i just didnt think it was binding that bad however when i got it back i tried again and it went straight up with no probs at all.

So what must i be doing wrong then?? as i could not get the wheels to stop spinning without the tesco bags!!! :(

Traction control on or off the wheels still spin and spin and spin trying to get up the smallest incline away from my house, However two tesco bags for life under the wheels and i was able to make it a metre at a time...

Is it just my bad driving or are all vrs hopeless in the snow??? :wonder: I cant even get out of my road but i have seen two ford focus manage it!!

if you fit snow tyres make sure you tell your insurance company as they are classed as a mod and so will add to your premium as my brother in law found out when he fitted them!!!
