  3. In Excellent condition.. I have had the audio system removed from the Fabia as I am selling the car. I am selling a Sony Xplod MEX-BT3800U car radio. This allows for bluetooth connection to a bluetooth compatible device meaning that you can play music, listen to podcasts or make calls wirelessly anytime you are in the car. AUX, MP3, Wireless Calls are all standard. I am even throwing a OEM Sony microphone specific for this Headunit to allow for mounting near the driver allowing much clearer phone calls. Bluetooth is auto and it connects seamlessly to your phone. No need to mess about with wires or settings or anything.. Package includes: - Radio Unit - Detachable front unit, - Remote Control - Detachable Front Fascia - Carry Case for Removable Front Unit - Tool for removal of your old car radio - Skoda/Volkswagen Aerial Booster to supply power to an aftermarket headunit - Fabia Front Fascia Trim - External Sony OEM Microphone - Original Manual and Instructions If you own a Fabia. This unit with everything is plug and play. Price is £110. Like I say. The unit is in excellent condition... This was £150 when i bought it new. 7. Hey Brimma. Do you want me to edit my original post bout selling the car? Happy to pay the £12
  8. Just agreed a cash sale on a 2008 Saab 9-3 Ttid Aero with 78k miles on. £6500 With babby coming i reckon the Fabia will be a smidge to small. And with missus being 6ft she wants to spend time in the back with baby. Hence needs more legroom... I'll be looking at the Saab on Sunday, with cash in hand. Then the Fabia VRS will be going on sale. Been a cracking car, trouble free and just had it remapped too. Space, Spec and Price is what finally drove me towards the Saab. Let the "good luck with parts" jokes commence!!!!!!!! What should i be looking price wise inorder to sell the Fabia? 06 Plate Fabia VRS Silver 106k miles 312mm Brake Upgrade P-torque Remap 172bhp / 297lb-ft Torque (Only been on for 500miles!!!!!!!) P-zeros with 3000 miles on them all round Full Service History - with the odd oil change by me at 5k intervals Rest is compeltely standard. Its on its original clutch, DMF and turbo and still running very very well Cambelt and waterpump changed at 80k interval
  9. Had them on for prob around 30k. Mix of motorway, but last 10k local really with some harsh braking.... When the car has been stationery overnight I can hear a grinding type noise when I apply them..
  10. hmmm... I have done the nipple mod. And I can confirm, With 30 miles lift in tank I have filled the car with 57litres of diesel. Only once have i filled it right to the brim have I had splash back... You can certainly feel the extra weight!!!!
  11. Hi guys, looking to fix the rear hatch leak from the rear wash pipe.. the pipe has come loose. Whats the best way to secure them so they dont pop off over the winter months once again! Thanks
  12. Before remap i would achieve 400-450 miles out of a tank. Now I get 500 to 550 miles.
  13. So its another trim off jobby. Can see mt snapping a few of those plastic clips.. Lucky I got a few set aside from the carrier fix days!
  14. Using the rear washer results in water running through the plastic trim. Is this a common problem and is there a guide to fix the problem? Thanks
  15. The Halfords ones (extra bright) are pretty good for my use...
  16. Took the car to Will this morning. Had it remapped properley. When I bought this car it had a generic map on which was a pain to drive. Spiked a lot and the power would tail off in every gear. Anyway after 1.5 hours I finally got back into the car and the car pulls very very well. Should have done it earlier. 172bhp and 297ft Torque Car has done 106k and on original clutch and turbo. Got it booked in for a once over at VW Rescue, service, MOT and CV joint. Roll on the next 10k miles.
  17. It's the only car in the house right now. With me commuting by train I have no need for another car so we use the Fabia VRS. Missus is 3 months gone. Looked at getting another 4x4 (I used to run a TDV8), A6 le man's.....anything with a massive boot and decent grunt. Sick of the leaks, damp problems, dirty seats, narrow powerband, rattles, lack of spec and quirky electrics. But bloody heck do I love the versatility and sheer grin factor of the MK1 Anyone here kept the MK1 with babies or newborns? We will be buying the Mothercare Orb pram, and opting for the maxi cosi familyfix ISO base with the pebble child seat. Car is worth only 3.5k so was thinking of just running it a bit longer
  18. Yeah but what about braking? Surely winter tyres help braking a lot. I'm currently running my car on P-Zeros and its proving to be terrible when braking in the snow that fell today....
