well my long saga came to an end today at 14;00 my car was built 28 august 2011 delivered on the 17 september 2011 because of the 8 month delay skoda paid for mot and service of my px car plus£300 vouchers m&s once we had checked it over for faults/defects and missing options we returned to the showroom for money and paperwork i pod lead passed across the table as we signed for the car tax disc written out as we waited it seems dealers can do this on new cars one reason to take out the complimentary insurance the m&s vouchers arrived today by courier 7 weeks from pick up of the car as it was a goodwill gesture i expected them to be delivered with the car now down to the car bearing in mind i came to a dsg fabia via an auto scenic exchanged to my son in receipt for the px car a mazda mx5 manual it seemed a strange car to adapt to started off from the dealers with maxi dot showing instant mpg altered that to read average mpg (scares you when its cold in the morning snd shows 12 mpg as you drive away till it warms up then hits sensible figures) as all cars getting used to bits and pieces keep forgetting the fuel flap side then the faffel unlocking it with the key instead of the release in the car not checking mpg till 1000 miles covered (no longer travel far due to retirement )only done 600 since sept dsg box works well it just gets on with it only prob was knocking it out gear and into neutral had to apply brakes to return lever to drive empty road so no probs i feel its quite a harsh ride but holds the road well for me being an ex gt emergency white van driver probably never gonna try it to its limits i will leave the to the vrs ers for 1.2 its adequate for our needs as an everyday shopping/pleasure trolly so if your about near the dartford tunnel to sarfend a13/a127 area and see a 61 plated cappuchino fabia estate with two old buggers holding the traffic up WAVE bear with i aint good at praise but complaining oh yes i can do that

Ordered jan 15 2011 Mine was built aug 28 th at dealers wed14 sep picked it up today 17 sept at 14;00 Crawled back home from motorpoint kent dealer through choked up dartford tunnel approach to the toll booths Then along the a13 home to tilbury Didnt get a chance to play trafic A blessed pain There Was a silver vrs on the blocks waiting And couple other new motors
