It worked great for like 2-3days.. is there a possibility that something broke the new CU too something gives somekind of electric "spike" to CU and after that its broken.. dont know. Just quessing

Well i was thinking to ask help for a last time.. im just wondering what is this meaning, have to mean something: When i unplug the adapter from the convience unit and then put it right back on, the problem seems to be fixed.. but after 1minute-30minutes it comes back. I just cant figure out what is this meaning... adapter broken? :wonder:

Well some update, i bought "new" convenience unit buy second handed, put it in my car and all the problems were gone for 2days. But this morning, same old thing... nothing works! Im out of solution.. anyone? Edit2: this evening those problems suddenly were gone... have to do something with moisture or wiring?

I Was fixing all kind of things from my car outside, i was having my door open, then i accidentaly pushed manualy my door to lock position! i pressed that iron thing to lock position, even when the door was normally open.. sry for my bad english. But hopefully you know what i mean. Now the door is somekind of "safelock/?????". I cant get the lock open with keyes or anything! and cant even close the door because its hitting the "crossbar" from inside! dont know what to do :(

Ty for your reply! i know that my door control unit is broken, but didnt know that it is part of the window motor, so i think i need to order one of those then Already checked the fuses, no problem in there.. just need to check still those wires if there comes something up.

Well here is some information from my octavia.. -when i last time check the problem, seems like mirror heating and turning options/all the electrics from the drived side mirror is dead -i taked off the mirror, checked the electrics and looks like its working fine, so no problem with mirror -joystick/switch seems to be working too.. it just doesnt matter which mirror i try to turn/move, it always turning the passenger side mirror (L or R position) -i taked it to local dealer, the conclusion was that there is unit broken. New part costed 259euros.... so i need to buy it second handed.. So could the problem be window motor? if i understanded right, the mirror heating should still work even if the window motor is broke? little bit confuse right now.. what exactly is the problem

So ive been having this problem with my driver side mirror, there is no electric at all. The other mirror from passenger side works well.. i taked to my car to local dealer, and seemed like there is somekind of unit broken inside the driver side door. So the question is, what is the exact name/part number for that unit? i was thinking to buy it second handed.. Thx :sun:

You were right.. the price was something totally insane. Need to buy it second handed i think..

Just opened my inside panels and founded this (see the picture).. i taked off the blue adapter and the "black box", cleaned them both and put them back together. And the central lock+windows worked again! :sun: BUT, after 5min the same problem came back.. so is there problem in the "black box"? or is that black box connected to some relay where the problem might be? im just wondering.. relay or the black box.. Btw.. convienience unit=black box ?

I noticed one more thing, there seems to be working all the lights for switches/buttons in the driver side door, but all the other doors are dead.. Conclusion?

Someone know what to test before buying any new parts?

Well that would be the best part, but i dont have those items what would be needed to scan for codes... Could some of these relays be the problem? already changed the relay what is marked with red arrow (was having indicator, wiper etc problem, fixed with that)

Hey! so ive been having this wierd problem with central lock(all doors)+all windows.. everything works fine most of the time, but like once in a week there is this problem. But yesterday it suddenly stopped for good. Is there somekind of relay? im just wondering is there something i could do about it..

So ive been looking for black indicators to my car, but without anykind of result. Superskoda seems to sell those for newer octavia, just dont know would them fit to my 98 model, any help?

Hey all, Seems like that i need to start thinking about timing belt repair, just not sure is the "timing belt" the right word for that, i mean the repair, that you need to do every 90000km/5years.. Anyway.. Those parts cost ALOT when buying from the local dealer, timing belt kit+water pump=270euros.. that sound alot for me. Now i was thinking to buy these parts online, hopefully saving a few/alot euros with it. And the question is, where i should start to looking for (trustable online shop with fast delivery) and of course fair prices. Ive been looking from this website: http://seekpart24.com And founded a few where to choose: http://seekpart24.co...belt-set-100085 My car: Octavia -98 with 1.8 20v engine. Petrol, no diesel. The problem is, there is a quite a few brandys where to choose from.. and i have no idea what was the original/manufacture brand, or what is trustable and what is not. So im asking, if someone would like to help me to order the right parts (timing belt kit+water pump i quess?), with good price and trustable brand. Thanks! Hopefully my english wasnt so bad..

Ty! im just wondering, which one i should change first, the parking switch or the relay under the dash? is it sounding like it might be better to change relay first if the cabinet temperature seems to have something to do with this problem, because if i noticed right, wipers working better after the capinet is warmed up.
