I also suffered from this creaking but thankfully it has finally been fixed! Mine was also worse carrying a passenger or luggage and in hot weather. I had to visit the dealer in Winchester 5 times before it was sorted Once for the 30k service when it was returned as NFF Twice to demonstrate to a technician Third to have Top mounts replaced, one was broken Fourth to have shock abs replaced Fifth to have suspension bushes replaced, they were vague about which ones This last visit was 3 weeks ago so my dealer should be up to speed on what to do if you were in o contact them Hope this helps. I had the clutch plate replaced under warranty on my 2/14 built 75 Greentech at 10k as the release bearing got really noisy. That improved the gear selection when stationary, it still baulks sometimes but not nearly as much as it did. It used to be a real pain with the Stop/Start as when you tried to select first in a traffic queue it wouldnt select without a further declutch. Touch wood everything is fine at 28k

I had the aerial base replaced about a year ago at the 10k service which improved things slightly but they refused to do it again at 20k as they said signal strength was OK in the workshop. I replaced the mast with a longer spiral wound one from Halfords and it made a big difference, although still not as good as my previous Fabia or thei loan Rapid. You can check signal quality by holding down he Menu button for 10 secs until it beeps and then scrolling to Q. I was surprised just how often the Quality is Mono or Poor.

Sorry no I dont have the part numbers - it was a couple of years ago. I do remember it was a satisfying job to do particularly when you locate the holes for the screw fittings!

I fitted the liners from the e Up as I read on an Up forum that they were a better fit than the Cross Up and have some sound deadening on them.They were easy to fit with no cutting required on the Citigo. I cant comment on how they fit with Mudflaps though as I dont have them. The parts man at Winchester Skoda was very helpful. They definitely reduced road noise particularly when its wet. Couldnt agree more about Hampshires rural roads!

I have had the same problem twice, when you crank itsounds like the starter hasnt engaged properly and what is even stranger is that when I turned the key back from the crank position the starter kept on spinning! I switched off completely and it stopped. A second attempt was the same but I left it spinning and heard it get faster until the engine started and all has been well since. If anyone else has had this and got it fixed any advicewould be appreciated.

Having replaced my Fabia Elegance with a Citigo I have the following for sale 4 x ESA Tecar Super Grip7 Winter tyres 185/55 R15 82 T http://www.tecar.com/en/wintertyres.aspx on Skoda supplied steel wheels Part no W6Q0601027M03C supplied 12/10 so have done 4 winters. All in good condition with no kerbing or dents and only used with wheeltrims fitted 2 tyres have 7mm tread, 1 has 6mm and one is mostly 6mm but 5mm on outside edge. 4 x Skoda wheeltrims Part No WCDB700002 in good condition but two have small scrapes see photo I purchased the tyres direct from reifen.com as they got good reviews and although they havent seen much snow I have found them to be much quieter and more comfortable then the 205/45 Contis and they grip much better when it is cold and wet or icy £185 for the lot with collection from the Hants/Berks area

I too have had poor reception at times so I checked my aerial yesterday and found a small piece of plastic swarf at the bottom of the screw thread which stopped it being tightened fully. Today the radio was fine in the areas where I was getting crackle before. It could just be that the clearer weather but it was a big improvement.

I too have had the clutch pedal click from about 500 miles but this week at 7000miles it has disappeared! I have also had the clonk from the clutch itself when re engaging the clutch on upshifts but this seems to be diminishing as well. It's amazing how much better quality the car seems with the clutch click gone

Are there any electrics experts among us? I am most definitely not one but with Multiplex wiring I believe that in theory any switch can activate any device if it can "see" the relevant control unit. Would it be possible with modifications to the relevant control units,to utilise the Left/Right switch on the Mirror adjuster so that in the Left position the Window switch on the Drivers door could operate the Passenger window?

Which liners did you get? there is a post in the Up owners forum that says the liners from the E Up are a better fit than the ones from the Cross Up and also have some insulation on them. Part Nos 12E 810 969/970 http://www.upownersclub.co.uk/forum/ordered-rear-wheel-arch-liners_topic4671_post53439.html?KW=wheel+arch+liner#53439 I have also read somewhere but cant find it again so I may have imagined it! that recently built Ups have rear liners already fitted. If this is the case might it apply to Citigos as well? Could someone with a recently delivered car have a look. Mine is being built next week and dont want to order if I dont need to.

Thanks for the advice, I spoke to Skoda CS today and have been given Build week 6 so I will have to be patient a while longer and probably wait for the March reg. In the meantime I will have to stop reading all the great things that people are saying about their cars - it makes the waiting that much harder!

When do dealers get to know when the cars they have ordered for customers are due to be built? I ordered an Elegance 75ps GT 3door (or coupe as I like to call it!) on Oct 19. Delivery was quoted as early Jan which has now slipped to late Jan and he still can't tell me the build week. What are other peoples experiences? Do some dealers get their cars quicker than others?

Now that you have had the new suspension for a while do you still rate the ride quality? Is it firmer than standard?I had a loan Monte recently with 17" rims and Dunlops and and was surprised that I preferred the ride to my 1.2TSI Elegance 16" with Contis. I guess the sportier springs on the Monte and slightly lower C of G allow slightly softer springs to be used. Did you take a chance that you would like it or did you find anywhere that had a demo available? Sorry lots of questions!

Mine has had the updates and is still very smooth and refined when trickling along in traffic on a par with the auto in my previous BMW.

N0 problems it was about 2 days for my dealer to get it from Skoda

My EPC light came on 2 or 3 times in Dec together with limp mode which went off as soon as I switched on and off after which it ran normally. The cure was to fit an extra shim to some valve on the turbo as it was producing too high a voltage. There is a Service bulletin on it and a software upgrade. They also did a rough running when cold software update ( which I hadnt experienced ) and most importantly a DSG update. All in all the car is transformed! the delays and hesitations I had been complaining about have gone and in 90% of situations it seems to be in the right gear so I am only using the manual hold going up and down hill. Mine was built late Aug 2010 and I have done 22k. Hopefully yours will be as easy to fix as mine was

It is still a vast improvement and is now more like a conventional auto. The engine seems smoother as well so it may be the combination of engine and DSG updates that has made the difference. I was seriously considering selling the car previously but am not now. I have just filled up and am still getting 48-50 mpg (real world not trip computer figs) and performance is still the same so there dont appear to be any downsides In short I am one happy driver

This could make your Christmas I have had a DSG update this week and the car is transformed.The delays and hesitations at roundabouts etc have virtually gone and I find I am hardly using the Manual mode anymore (except going up and down hills) My car was built 8/2010 and has now done 22k. Maybe later cars have this update already which is why some of us complain of Hesitations and some do not. The car actually went in as my EPC light came on a couple of times. This was fixed by fitting an additional shim to a valve on the Turbo. They also did a software update for a potential cold running unevenness which I hadnt experienced. The Service bulletins or TPIs are EPC fault 2025569/3 Cold running 2025583/4 DSG 2027607/1

September 10 and 21k so probably similar build spec

My TSI 105 had a problem with the EPC light coming on together with Limp home mode. I got the dealer to check it and he said that there are two Service bulletins -one to fit an additional shim to a valve on the Turbo which will sort the EPC problem hopefully and the other which is a software update to cure uneven running when cold. After that is done there is also an update for the DSG. It is going in again on Wed to have this done so will let you know
