There ia no written warranty that the aftermarket stereo will work with the MFSW of anny kind. You just need to give it a try... but could end up with a MFSW that will not work at all or properly. This is not coding related at all. But to give so much monney for no warranty ? I have retrofit that same MFSW that you have listed in my wife car Superb 2 with no pain and work fine. Check my posts... Tested it in my Octavia also, same as yours (RS TDI preFL PD 170), not working... If you woukd get your sel a FL RS O2 then this retrofit is straight forward and will work fine.

You are mixing points... rSAP is a protocol for Bluetooth from Nokia. Golf MKV and MKVI are not same platform, same with Octavia

No, also a FL MFSW from O2 is the same case, in a preFLMFSW for preFL in a preFl wor all ok

Will not work...On left side buttons yes but on right sude buttons not. The car electronics in preFL cannot "talk" to this wheel properly since is a different protocol (BAP). In case of Superb 2 is a just plug n play. It uses a BAP (white cluster)

In what car you are planning to retrofit these MFSW? PreFL Octavia 2 or preFL Superb 2 ? There is a difference

My idea, from few months before, when find this retrofit of Golf MK7/MK6, was to try the new style Superb 3 (MK3) climatronic to the Superb 2... I found some S3 (MK3) climatronic panels on eBay...but in doubt try the retrofit or not... They are not same in compare to the O3... In theory should work...but have not found nobody do it in practice ...yet

You can easy find a lot of a MK3 climatronic units very cheap on eBay these days...used ones

No, not all buttons...only those on left side (volume, track), on right side no...or yes only for Phone if you retrofit a 5N0035730B or C Bluetooth Premium unit that works on pre-FL and use a BAP protocol for those buttons.

FL O2 climatronic to the pre-FL O2 is not a lot of work. Depends do you have two motors or only one in car (depends on production year model)--→ problem with recirculation accoursWhat do you mean with theese? Did not undersrand you..

Do you have Octavia 2 pre-FL or FL? If you have FL...then you can test in live if you have some climatronic panel from O3 by hand nearby. But they are not phisically same...

Do you really think that it is only the plugs relevant?!? Cmon. On the other hand, I found that you can retrofit new style Climatronic from a VW Golf 7 to the Golf 6 without problems, it fits and works EDIT: Look here: :rolleyes: There is a guy on eBay selling them. Not too much expensive (selling new climatronic panels and the needed fascia-trim sorround OEM)

Been there, done that...got that T-Shirt.....For about 3 months I am fighting with this issue also...with local Skoda dealler... still not solved...tjey are refusing a windshield to take off and re-glue again

Guess it is just you... Changed so manny of them till now for myself and other people that I stop counting them... New style is better and more quality. If you look, after fitting a new old style badge, after 6-7 month, the transparent foil is to start pill off...and this is a bad to all old style badges. Even there was a service campain that submitted changing them free of charge while car is under warranty. New style then for sure better, more vissible and suits the car.

You can find some for buy... (pin extract tools) but it will work also with two thin needles (you have this at home for sure.. .)

But for retrofit a HBA to Superb or Octavia 2 FL .etc, you do not need anny kind of special adapters, or the Kufatec wiring loom. Only what you need is a new 8-pin plug to put on a wires that you take out from existing 6-pin plug, and just add two extra wires for CAN. And the SW version of instrument cluster equal or higher then a 60x Simple And coding of course
