Rang Lookers to check on progress and was told that they had traced the leak to the air con outlet (I had told the service agent that the water was originating from that area but he had failed to pass that detail on) after spending days spraying water on the screen, once they actually looked the connection from the air con to outlet pipe cracked. So hopefully all fixed and dried out, soon find out if it starts misting the screen.

An update, we agreed with the service dept. that they could keep the car for a week for investigation as we went on holiday. Today we collected a Kia car from them for a week ( no charges) as they have not been able to trace the fault yet. It is now anticipated that the dash will have to come out but they need permission from Skoda HQ first. Certainly takes the shine from that new car feeling.

Took our 8 week old Yeti back to Lookers Newcastle on Wednesday as the passenger footwell was full of water. As no report was forthcoming I rang the service department to be told they didn't know where it was coming from, but not the air con, it doesn't have a panoramic roof. It is suggested that the whole dash may have to come out to investigate as well as the interior to dry out. This seems to leave it open to taking a long time. Do we have any right to another car in the meantime or is this a curtaisy. We bought the car from them used with 11 mile on the clock.

Finally said goodbye to our Roomster very reliable , economic car but sooo fugly. Now have 17 Yeti practically the same inside but higher and I don't think I look funny in it.

When we bought our Roomster in 2013 it was pre-owned and had no spare, I bought a full size spare, insert and tool kit off E-bay for around £140. When I did get a puncture it was at home but at least i had the convenience of dropping the wheel off on the way to work and collecting it on the way home. We're getting a 2016 Yeti this week also with no spare so I'll be taking the Roomster one out and selling it with the tools and the insert on E-bay to part fund the new spare I will have to buy for the Yeti.

You will need to unbolt the three torx fixings holding the fuel filter in place and shove it to one side in order to change the offside bulb, what a palaver!

OK, I've got it .Funny gearing you have to drive in one gear lower than most cars.

The local dealer lost our business because they couldn't be arsed to check that they could fit auto so we ended traveling extra hundred of miles to view then collect.

We just picked up our 2000 mile 13 reg.1.6 tdi Se Roomster on Monday and are well pleased. We had to travel to York to get it as our local dealer in Cramlington was adamant that Skoda couldn't retrofit cruise. Our problem is that when on the move the engine does not want to rev under 1000rpm which means there is little engine braking and it tends to throw itself around corners. When parked it settles at 800rpm, Is this a characteristic or just teething troubles? I will be taking it in for a diagnostic, just wanted your thoughts, thanks.

My 06 Fabia VRS has been written off, all my fault. My driving style ,old, let me down despite new ice/snow tyres.I slowed down to approach a bend on a country road by breaking and short shifting from 6th to 4th. The front wheels locked and I started sailing to wards the bend,I pressed the clutch and break together but, with neither wheel turning the ABS didn't cut in.On reaching the corner at about 40 I rode up a grass bank and things just got surreal. I got out of the car, which was upside down, without a scratch.Qoutemehappy.com have settled for £6500, good result I think. Time for something more sedate, best car I've owned though.

Gulp! Thats nearly £60 a corner.I was hoping for nearer £30 ' Tightwad.

Getting my winter wheels thursday,I now need cold weather in order to get my leaky alloys off. Can anyone recomend a reasonably priced company to make them nice and new again, Morpeth Northumberland North East England area?

Winter tyres,plus both fronts need pumping up weekly so i'll get them sorted also. Thanks for the answers.

I'm getting some Golf mk4 15" steelies for my Fabia VRS, will the standard bolts from my Skoda alloys fit the new wheels? Thanks
