The boot in my old 03 Octavia was more practical, could stick 2 twinsets plus dive gear in easily, whereas in the superb I struggle due to the angle of the boot lid, just a play on figures. I have a thule roof box and now considering a box trailor.

Problem with "long press" on key fob buttons.
darren tt replied to Fred Bloggs's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Using the window controls in drivers door open all windows fully, close all fully, do this a couple of times to reset. Then try key fob again. -
What changes to 170cr engine layout?
darren tt replied to G.K.'s topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Take a picture of the engine bay as you have not stated how old your last car was. -
Can you load cd's straight to hard drive? I've tried but cannot find an option. I have to load to sd card and transfer off the card

Tried to play with my 170 4x4 yesterday in the snow, even when I left the snow ruts to drive in the deep stuff the car kept pointing forward. Boring, but great and dependable. I haven't even fitted winter tyres, mich sport contact 2's.

This has been a problem with all the skodas I've had, my 06 Fabia vrs heater goes cold when I hit a roundabout or corner and my 11 plate superb estate 170 4x4 elegance also blaster. When you turn you get a blast of cold air from the centre consel. Just thought it was a VAG issue as it also happened with my Octavia estate and golf gti.

I had a play today, I have the aluminium trim, this seemed to make a few noises also, so played with it, and that also worked.

I have had this annoying rattle. I had my wife track it down when I was driving along a bumpy road. She found by adjusting the nearside air vent she could get it to stop. Good luck

Superb 4x4 Estate Towbar Questions
darren tt replied to Captain Leisure's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I have a 2011 170 4x4 estate with Skoda removable towbar fitted. It's my understanding that the towball supplied by Skoda is a westfalia but with the Skoda price hike. -
I have a 2011 4x4 170 estate, this is fitted with the variable boot floor. I cannot see any reason why it should not be available, the car has not been remodelled so should be the se car.

Michelin ps3's on all corners
darren tt replied to darren tt's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Sorry, I should have mentioned how much I paid, they cost £572 from ats plus I get the £40 fuel voucher back. -
Just changed from the conti's after 14500m to the michelins. What a tranfornation, the car feels smoother and is quieter, plus already the fuel consumption is showing improvements. I've heard I should get between 25 and 30k out of them aswell. Ats at Peterborough did a great job, gave me 25% off plus a £40 fuel voucher. Happy all the way.

Hi, does the bumper of an 06 vrs have to come off to get the radiator out????
-
Car booked into garage for Friday am. Noticed the rad leaking bottom off side.
-
Cheers for fast responses. Confirmed what I suspected about radweld. Will check out radiator. Exhaust showing no signs of steam, and oil in good condition, so not thinking head gasket.
-
Hi, I have an 06 vrs with a slight water leak. I have checked for leaks, and I can see no visable signs of a leak. Would the radweld work, or will it cause issues later on?
-
It may have already been done on here but I cannot find it. I have an 06 vrs with a slight water leak. It has had its water pump changed. At 40000 and it's now done 45000, I cannot find any visual signs of any leaks, but the water is dropping about 1/2 a cup a week. Has anyone used radweld to fix small leaks? Does it leed to issues later if it's used? Please help.

With the key fob hold down unlock until all windows open fully, then hold down lock until all windows close. This will reset the windows and you will be able to fold mirrors in with key fob.

fed up with boring over rated superb
darren tt replied to charlie h's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Buy the 170tdi 4x4 elegance estate, handling wise, for an estate its limits are hard to find. Really, buy cheap buy twice, I'm sure if you bought the entry level BMW of merc, you would be severely unimpressed. Why are people so quick to knock Skoda??? -
Hi mateys, had a freeze up of the Columbus unit today at 1715hrs, looked in the manual to check to see how to reset the unit, could not find the info I needed. Decided to give my dealer a ring to ask the technician which buttons to press for reset. Was told to bring car into garage to plug into computer. Then decided to check out previous threads on forum. Found the info I needed in 2 minutes. How good is this forum, far better than manuals and dealer technicians, ok, I'm being unfair, some technicians must read the forum to get their answers.

I thought you can increase/decrease the ambient light/footwell lights. I'll have a look in car set up.
