  1. TomTom on an A-pillar mount is not affected by the brilliant heated screen. Electric memory seats is a must-have, since my wife and I have totally different driving positions.
  2. 1.2 TSI DSG Experience business Mato Brown with Antilope Onyx Alcantara seats 225/50 R17 with Dolomite alloys with spiked Continental winter tyres BiXenon AFL with Lightassistant and Corner foglights Bolero, MDI and GSM II bt-handsfree TPM, Parkingsensors front & rear, detachable Trailerhook El.mem seat, Cruisecontrol, Rainsensor, 4-spoke leather steering wheel with radio/phone controls Sunset, Heated windscreen, Silver rails, Mudflaps in front Hill hold, Airbags in rear passenger doors Rubbermats for winter, Textiles for summer use Packline Carving roof box. Ordered end of August. Build week 47/10 - moved to 05/11. Delivery week 08/11. The delay actually gave me 2 extra years of warranty....
  3. Switch for the heated windscreen is shown on page 103 i the users manual http://new.skoda-auto.com/com/service/documentation/yeti/pages/11-2010.aspx
  4. For a 2-wheel drive I would consider the Mitsubishi ASX, but there is no automatic available. The Hyundai IX35 is my second choice, but has terrible boot space. Yeti covers all my needs: Quality, high seat position, DSG, all the other xtras on the menu and reasonable boot space. (And my dealer sweetend the deal by giving me a Packline roofbox).
  5. It is my impression that the 3-spoke wheel seems a bit thicker and the thumbrests are definately bigger.
  6. My list to Santa: -foldable side mirrors -rollo instead of hard boot –cover -memory seats on passenger side - radio pre-settings, instrument light setting and rain sensor on/off, linked to memory/key -automatic rear view camera - dsg-shift on steering wheel -cover when middle backseat is used for armrest -dsg driving-pattern teach-in, linked to memory key -heated steering wheel -heated rear seats -brighter boot-light -more fuel tank capacity -backseat radio aux with sound/track controllers -electric open/close hatch by remote

  8. Guess what! Skoda (VAG-Norway) just announced a 5 year warranty (previously 3 year) for new VAG cars sold in Norway 1.1.2011..! And mine is yet to be built. Was supposed to collect my 1,2 DSG week 51-2010, but delayed to BW 05-2011. So - happy faces all around...
  9. Interresting... since the Tiguan is available with electrically foldable mirrors. Just need to find a wrecked Tiguan at the scrapyard....
  10. Had an issue with my ´09 Hyundai I 20. The alarm would go off on various occations. Brand new car, so it went back to the dealer - who, of course, could´nt find anything wrong. Pulled the fuse out for almost a year. Before selling it, I took a last shot to figure it out myself. Found that the switch under the bonnet wasn´t pushed long enough down when the bonnet was closed. Sometimes, when the bonnet was closed properly, then the alarm would´nt go off and vice versa. Solved it by extending the little plastic rod within the rubber casing of the switch and Voila - all OK.
  11. Called my dealer last week to confirm build week 47 for my 1,2 Tsi DSG. -Nope, it had been pushed to week 5/11 the same week it should have been built. Arrrggghhhh, guess I haven´t been a good boy this x-mas...
  12. The 3-spoke wheel looks a little bit thicker an offers you the two thumbrests, like a sportscar would have.
  13. Norwegian configurator lets me choose heated windscreen in mid-spec model CR 170, so I guess it should possible for you too. Just ask dealer or dowload complete pricelist. Our config also got several misses, like which spec can have double visors, foldable mirrors etc.
  14. Anyone knows if folding mirrors are available as a single option for all trim-levels, without ordering an expensive package? Norwegian configurator offers it with a pack including Columbus, parking assist and el.memory seat. Also, have I got it right that the 1,2 TSI has a single exhaust pipe instead of twin?
  15. Check out the Norwegian Yeti optionals broschure http://www.skoda-auto.no/wip4/yeti-tilbehoersbrosjyre/c/jump.epl?id=26677
