  1. Problem now solved by a guy on the OBD11 facebook page, if anyone has the same issue I can provide the solution. Cheers.
  2. VRS_20200706_121038.mp4 Hi All, I did some adaptations with OBD11 a while ago and recently noticed, quite by accident, that when I have my fog lights on and indicate left, my right fog light flashes out of sequence with the left indicator, same thing for the left fog light flashing with the right indicator, both fog lights also flash with the hazard lights on. Would someone be able to guide me through a way to undo this or at least let me know what the default settings should be for the foglights? Thanks. I have a 2018 FL Mk3 Octavia VRS 2.0Tdi 4x4 DSG saloon if that helps? VRS_20200706_121107.mp4
  3. My wife's 1.5Tsi DSG Sportline which is just 3 weeks old has a weird fault with the heated rear seats. We have a very observant 8 year old sitting in the back and she has noticed on several occasions that the rear heated seat randomly switch on and can not be switched off unless you turn the car off completely. I have searched for this problem on the forums and google but don't see anything relating to it, does anyone else have this issue and if so what is the fix? I suspect a trip to the dealer is in order but it would be nice to have evidence of it happening to others first. I suppose we could swap the 8 year old for a less observant model but they'd still cook!
  4. Quick update, I bought VCDS and reset the faults. I tried the car out and it revs above the 4500 RPM problem point, I only took it to 5500RPM and all was fine. Thanks to all for your input. I love this car!
  5. Ha ha, typical, I've just ordered VCDS for myself! I'll give it a shot when it arrives on Tuesday but I might still take you up on your kind offer if I can't figure out how to use it or log and clear the faults. Thanks very much Mike B, I really appreciate the offer. All the best.
  6. *BUMP* Can any of you Skoda guys help me?
  7. Thanks for the reply, I've posted on the VCDS forum for someone local to come to my aid. I will post the outcome. Cheers.
  8. Hi guys, you may or may not have noticed my problem posts in the Octy II section, anyway, I have a problem where I'm hitting the rev limiter at 4500RPM when it shouldn't red line until 6500 RPM, it has been suggested that I may be in limp mode and that I should have the fault codes read and reset to see if that clears the problem. If anyone in or around Fife would be so kind to plug into my car and do the neccessary then I'd be more than grateful. I'm available anytime (subject to imminent arrival of offspring!) Hope to hear from someone soon! Cheers. (2006 Octavia vRS 2.0 TFSI)
  9. Thanks for all the replies guys, it's been very helpful. I'll post the results when it's all sorted as I know how frustrating it is reading a thread that's of interest to you and there not being a conclusion. Cheers.
  10. Excellent info there thank you, I've been scouring the internet for more and have emailed carsystems.pl also found the part numbers on the ross-tech wiki too. Thanks again for your help, it's what makes these forums priceless!
  11. Do you have any idea of the part number for the module that does support CC?
  12. I suspected a limp mode but the car runs lovely with no restriction on speed as long as I keep it below 4500 RPM. I'll put the feelers out for someone local with VCDS. Cheers.
  13. Thanks for your reply, the garage said steering control module but they could have meant comfort control unit for all I know. Totally out of my depth here.
  14. Second problem post tonight! I had Cruise control fitted today and they haven't been able to code the steering control module to accept it and I need a replacement unit. Does anyone know of any other way to resolve this problem or at least where I can get the unit for much cheapness? it's £157 from the dealer. (2006 Octavia vRS 2.0 TFSI) Cheers.
  15. I wouldn't mind if it was an oil burner, diesel was my first choice but alas nothing available within my budget when I was looking! I did think it was a glitch and tried it again on a straight bit of road and gradual build up of revs but still cut out at 4500, and have had the battery disconnected today too to have cruise control fitted but the fault is still there, the Skoda garage 'didn't get round to checking the rev problem'!
