  2. Hi guys, looking to replace the oem recirc valve on my octavia mk1 vrs as car seems juddery and quite loud so feel its leaking. Been looking on the net and see vw/audi do a revised oem valve they used on the tt etc part number ending in 710 i think, is it worth just getting one of these or saving ofr a forge or compbrake one? just had car remapped also thanks in advance Damien
  3. Hi guys, had a remap and now clutch is slipping, done some searching on net etc and here and looks like the vr6 clutch and g60 flywheel is a good replacement and even help with performance, have found a seller doing these sachs vr6 clutch and g60 flywheel for £200, does this just swap with my existing and are there any downsides? thanks Damien

  5. ill keep scowling pistonheads as my max budget would be between 5-5.5k found one but its a cat d registered with 63k miles, decision decisions....
  6. yeah wouldnt want to take less than 4k tbh, just deciding whether i want a mk2 or tweek the car i have and as mikey says i will be swapping for car with higher mileage but is the mk2 a better car? is a stage 1 mk2 quicker than a stage 1 mk1? If i dont get what i want for mine and cant get the funds to get a tidy mk2 ill do bit at a time to my mk1
  7. Hi guys, changing front discs are these the correct dimensions vrs 1.8t Vented - Mountings 5 Disc diameter 312.0mm Disk thickness 25.0mm Overall height 49.7mm Centre diameter 65.0mm Minimum thickness 22.0mm Also i can have just plain dics or grooved, drilled, dimpled etc for no extra charge, is it worth doing or keep standard discs? thanks in advance Damien
  8. yeah, only thing in my favour is that the mileage is 43k, have to put her up and see what interest i get i guess
  9. hi guys and gals, debating whether to tweek the vrs or to maybe change for a mk2 vrs octavia as do like the cars just fancy a change but finding hard as to what i should value my car at currently its a 2005, black, lots of history, having front discs and pads this week as well as a service including cambelt and water pump car is in good condition, few scuffs to wheels, and few scratches etc but no dent sor damage top the car drives perfect. i was hoping in region of 4.5k and maybe get a nice mk2 for about 5-5.5k if not might be worth just keeping and spending the 1kish tweeking the current car thanks
  10. right just so im clear lol if i paid for freedom membership id get unit and remap for £314? and thats stage 1 yes? how much do new maps cost say when i get downpipe or front mount etc?as at mo car is completely standard all help appreciated but this seems a great deal as i can do all without any travelling is unit under a warranty to? Damien
