  1. Take the central locking fuse out. I had this problem the other week. I've put the fuse back in now and it seems ok but I need to look in to it some more as I know it'll happen again.
  2. I have a problem with one of my sidelights not working. Both bulbs had blown and both have been replaced but only one still works. It's in the garage today but they have said they've checked the wiring and there must be break somewhere in the feed. They want to take the bumper off to check the wiring and have quoted £150 labour assuming the issue is easily located once the bumper is off. I wasn't aware that the headlight wiring went behind the bumper. Is this right? Also, assuming there is no obvious breaks and its not a fuse/bulb issue then would it not be easier to wire a feed from the side that is working? Cheers.
  3. Just woken up to the same problem. I've also read the drivers lock can clog up and stick. I've pulled the central locking fuse out for the moment but will try an look in to it over the weekend.
  4. Wet sand and polish mate. I did mine recently and doing my mates shortly. As long as you mask the paint around it, you won't need to remove the unit.
  5. Doesn't the polo/lupo din unit fit in place of the cubby hole under the headunit too?
  6. Ooh I need to up my game. I thought my 76.7 was good. Managed 71.3 on a 110mile trip last week. Who needs a hybrid!?
  7. Cheers guys. Having a busy week this week so will try and get some better pics up by the end of the week.
  8. Lol! The back seats were out at the time but are back in now. I take them out to put the bike in there which is why I'm after a Caddy.
  9. Not sure I should be doing this as its such a great car but i'm fancying a Caddy so the fabia has to go. For anyone who knows me, I have a cleaning obsession so the car is always kept in tip top condition. 61,000 miles (just under) MOT until Jan 2012 Tax - will confirm Cambelt, water pump and service being done today. FSH 2 new front tyres about 1k ago. I bought a Shark remap as part of the group buy with the STS so the car can be run with either the standard map or the Shark one. The car is used as my daily driver with economy in mind and I regularly see 65-70mpg. I'll get some more pictures up tonight but heres a few to show how clean it is. £4995. Located in Newport, South Wales.

  15. You didn't happen to own a Series 1 RST many moons ago did you? Welcome to the club.
  16. My d/s has been doing the same. Good thought on it being ice though as I only tend to notice it in really cold weather. Threw all my toys out of my pram the other night. I went to put stuff in the boot, it wouldn't open. Went to the rear door to put them on the back seat, it wouldn't unlock. Had a tantrum and put the stuff on the passenger seat. Started the car and the the boot open warning light was on.
  17. Easy enough fix, as above. Mine does it but not got around to fixing.
  18. I had the same problem too and was woken at 7am. I've ended up having to leave the drivers door unlocked :S Mine had been sat for a day, but it's been used this morning for a 30 min drive to work and it's still the same when I went to lock it.
  19. Is that you I pass in the morning/evenings on the coast road? I'm in the yellow vrs.
