  1. Hi No, no spanner. Only does it on first start of the day and then not every day. Does the service warning not occur every time you start up?
  2. Hi All Last few days when first starting the '56' 2.0 FSI I get 3 loud beeps. No error lights or lights staying on. Any ideas? Also, how do you get to the error codes. Looked once about 18 months ago but I have been searching the Forum and cannot find how to do it now - doh! Cheers Andy P.S. Or do I need someone near Bedford with VAGCOM?
  3. ok thanks. Looks like the easiest thing to do is use the aux input in the armrest. Annoying thing there is that there is no power available in the armrest. Maybe I can tee off from the cigarette lighter to get discrete power into the area and the run an iPOD or similar. Shame that this input or the unit suggested above isn't USB!
  4. How annoying. The MP3 head unit will play MP3 Cd's but the 6 disc unit in the boot doesn't. I have a collection of MP3 discs with about 130 tracks on each. Would have had 900 tracks available without changing discs!! Is there a 6 disc MP3 compatible unit for the boot?
  5. Well, thats weird. Took down the headlining and the aerial base is a nomal one. No booster, no extra wire for power and no sign of any change from new. Next, took out the radio unit - standard co-ax out to aerial - again, no power wire. Anyone else had this? (56 plate Octavia 2.0 FSI). If I but a booster from online/halfords - will it help?
  6. Cheers, thought as much. Headlining down tonight then. Is it a big job?
  7. Hi All First post here as a newby so be gentle. Been searching around the threads for this but cannot find the details: I have the common problem or poor signal on AM and FM. Looking at the signal strength info after holding down Menu for 10 seconds I get the following: What do all the bits mean? Does ANT OFF mean that the booster is not working/fitted? Thanks all
