  3. HI You,ll be fine with the 561 ,but for more frequent use the 591 would be a better choice as its easier to use regards Mark
  4. HI Have run thule roof system for 13yrs on 5 cars currently on 08 wagon never had any issues I work for halfords and have been advicing and fitting thule products for 15+ yrs and never experienced any issues from product or customers except wear and tear issues, but we can get almost any spare part if required 3 questions 1 how many bikes do you wish to carry 2 how frequently 3 mtbs or road bikes other issues are any of the bikes frame or fork sensitive ie carbon frames or bolt through front axles and from a practical point will it be an issue for you to reach up and over the roof to get multiple bikes on carriers ( im 6,4 i dont have an issues but some customers aren,t so fortunate ) there will only be one fixing kit for your car a or b you wont have a choice and the wing bar is just a evolution of aerobar difference between sq or wing bar is t track an internal system of connecting carriers to bars there quicker to set up as well theres about a £40 difference between aero and sq and if you join british cycling (bcf.org ) you get 10% of any transaction at halfords if you want me to check which kit you need pm your reg to me and i,ll let you know regards Mark
  5. only prob with audi caps is the locking wheel nut is slightly larger than skoda so a little clear silicone holds them firm ,you,ll be hard pressed to see the matt finish once installed regards Mark
  6. HI have all black octi with black wheels got black nut covers off e bay and black locknut covers from audi regards Mark
  7. HI Are you buying through halfords as they use a registration data base to fine tune which kit, if you p.m me your reg will find out which kit applicable ,normally difference in kits is down to facelifts and the roof profiles but yours should be clear cut as its not on any change over period regards Mark p.s work for halfords
  8. Been running bluefin for 4 yrs , 2yrs on mondeo st and 2 on vrs never a days problems, no idea on actual improvement with figures but its deffo smoother, faster and more efficent
  9. From a fellow all black like it a lot, imho need to colour code grill and tints to finish the look. haven,t lowered mine yet looking to, how much lower than standard are your springs P.S hope you like cleaning
  10. Finally my car has been seen , im not the first to do all black but pleased with end result will be lowering it soon not sure 20 or 30mm? Mark
  11. As henry ford said " only in black " Im biased, going the whole hog next week black wheels as well i,m a glutton for punishment !
  12. Just found this thread so rang suk they were a little vague at first but when pushed about recall they said to ring dealer. Rang local dealer they were great ,booked in now next week Ive got one of the last pd,s registered may 08 so when did the pd engine have bosch injectors as apposed to siemens ? before 07 ! I,m running bluefin remap at moment should i take it off before taking it in or will it be safe to leave on ? never had any issues with car apart from exhaust sensor hope this recall wont come back and bite me !
  13. +1 my factory standard pd170 +bluefin goes like **** off a really shiny shovel ! will deffo have dpf removed if it gives issues Had a real world experience against 06 tsi, overtook him as was running late to pick wife up but wasn,t prepared for him to then stick to my bumper, fair enough he would have got past on the straight (he was trying but thankfully straights weren,t long enough ) but out of the bends wasn,t a lot in it so pd held its own Before all the tsi /tfsi owners jump in, this was just a experience i had ! the petrols are deffo quicker cars and nearly as efficent these days considering derv prices now, but im getting on a bit (45) and i prefer lazy power just push the loud pedal and go past no down changing required unless you want to rub it in
  14. Had a mondeo st with cr engine, was a little put of when test drove octavia, initially sounded noisy in comparison but much prefer the punch the pd gives overall it lets you know the engines working and deffo gives you a grin when you overtake LOL
  15. Had superchips bluefin on mondeo st and migrated to octavia vrs when i changed cars so had it for 4yrs never missed a beat on either car regards Mark
