  1. Hi it states you have a matt black grill surround... Where did you purchase this from or did you have it custom made??? Kind regards Paul
  2. Hi, can any1 help me.. I have a columbus RNS 510 headunit. Ive recently intalled the latest firmware update 38XX, but i have intalled the DVBt tv tuner. Apparently I need to be on firmware 1024 to activate the TV tuner using the VCDS as the button is still greyed out even though i have activated the TV tuner in the VCDS coding. Does anyone i know of a link for this firmware 1024 im really struggling.. Many thanks Paul

  4. BAD NEWS The temporary tape fix didn't work. I thought it had, until I went on the M62. With the bad cross winds it was howling from both sides! It's a shame cause I could have lived with a bit of tape on the door seals! The only thing I can do is silicone all the gaps in the seal... When I had the noise I lowered my window and it stopped, so I'm now thinking it could be the seals from the window to the door! Paul
  5. Good news after reading a temp fix by putting tape over the seal on the door. I have done this on the drivers and passenger door and has fixed the problem. If you look at the seal it is only clipped in. so at speed with wind it is cause air to get in. I noticed it coming from both sides depending on wind direction. It causes the wind to make the wierd howling noise through the whole dash. So thanks for the picture. I used black insulation tape for a temp fix, but I doubt just replacing the seals at the skoda gargae will fix the issue, there should really be a recall. Im going to contact skoda to tell them i have fixed the problem and see what they will do. Paul
  6. Hi I picked my Octavia VRS TDi DSG at the beginning of september. It was fine for two weeks then I got this Howling noise, it sounds like a noisey wheel bearing and is more distinctive in the passenger footwel. It happens the most between 70-80 and 50-60. It has been to the dealership twice now for this problem and has not been fixed. The first time they said it was the blind in the back passenger window, I even got charge £41.00 for diagnostics. The noise was still there when I got it back. The second time they said it was coming from the brakes, which have been striped and cleaned. Drove off, got to 70mph and it happened again. They have racked up milage and wasted my fuel with over 4 days of testing. I have read a lot of the posts on the site, so hopefully with more information I can get this issue resolved. The service department have never come accross this problem and dont seem to have made any progress. If anyone has found a fix or what I should ask the service lads to look at it would be very much appreciated. It goes back in a week on monday. Thanks
