  1. I had the 1.2 tsi dsg yeti , fine car but a bit like a squirrel on drugs when it came to snow and ice . god knows how a 1.4 might act ?
  2. Well I sorry to say that my yeti didnt like the snow one bit . I think the dsg might be the problem as getting the finr balance between power input and good traction is way to fine a balance . My wife's Zafira auto being heavier managed no problem and it has a SNOW button that helps limit power to ensure smooth driving. Right now I think I shall go and try it out again ...see if if its me or the yeti ..
  3. Rather stupidly in didn't get Bluetooth sorted when i ordered my sm. So can anyone tell if Bluetooth is already fitted in to the bolero audio system or do I have to get it fitted. Would be nice if it was just a case of popping in a fuse or pressing a sequence of buttons
  4. Your vehicle has corner fogs which will operate below 24mph with lights on. In reverse both fogs should come on turning or indicating will turn on the fog on the side of indication or turn (up to 24mph). The owners manual never metion these little things ... thankyou TP sorry your words at the top were supposed to come out as a quote .
  5. Must admit i'v not noticed this problem with mine as yet but then I'v got the day lights on as soon as i switch on the ignition. If its not to daft a question your not running with day time lights are you and thats what your seeing ?
  6. Sorry to read about the filler flap problem, must admit i had no problems with my SM so far.Have a safe journey home and enjoy the SM to the max, looks like you've got some good weather to try her out in

  8. GP001 Proud owner of Yeti 1.2 TSI, DSG. SE Pacfic Blue With Black Onxy Interior. Nothing fancy but she's a damm fine car 01 nov 2012 I am afraid to say that i have traded in the Yeti..... it was a hard decision to make but had to be done.... it was just too quick to handle driving in the icy weather and snow on the first winter i had it and not much better the next year. I know it is a brill car to dry in normal circumstances but i need a car that would get me to work safely .
  9. Big Steve the reason i mention carlisle is that it is the closest point to where i live in scotland that they would deliver to for free.. reconed it would cost a dam site more to have it brought to my front door and bang goes the savings made from buying it from DTD. I'm looking forward to the trip down and especially back up . Nightowl hope you have a great drive home although watford aint that far from the skoda dealer if your using the same one as me .. you planning on doing a few laps of the M25
  10. Glad to hear that i am not the only one getting their yeti soon. Hope Keith contacts you soon and have a sfe trip down there and an enjoyable one back home. bit worrying to hear about posponed build dates hope it works out ok for the rest of the "Yetiownians" to be .
  11. You guys have convinced that the only way to do this is to go get her myself... why should i give anyone else the pleasure apart from my beloved wife the oppertunity to drive theSM (still thinking of a name for her... not the wife ) . thankyou for the heads up on discount rail fare web site havent been on a train in years ... thought for a minute there that i was going to have to take the megabus down and try and get across London by bus or metro... :S . Got Monday off next week so going down then . I know its a little longer to wait but it will give them time to prep the car properly... Pleased to say that the old Honda aint going to the scrappys ,she'll be handed on to one of the kids as a first car . No point in wasting a good car is there now ?( Tears in my eyes when i hand her over). Any way onward to the future of happy motoring Skoda Yeti1.2DSG SE In Pacfic Blue here I come.
  12. It would be driven up by one of their drivers MY-YETI . My problem is that i would have to travel to london on the over night train arriving with the air of the great unwashed then have the long drive up having not slept that well on the train ... :S
  13. I am in a pickle ... cant make up my mind .. My Yeti is ready to pick from london in a few days. Is it worth while having them deliver it to Carlisle which is easier for me to get to or go there to get it my self ......what are the pro's and con's ? :wonder:
  14. Ladies and gentlemen. I am pleased to announce that I have just been officially informed that my yeti (build date 1st November is waiting for me at maralbourgh Isleworth. Yeeha can't wait to drive her home.
  15. Gizmo68, thanks for the advice . this is the first time that i have bought a new car so unsure of how it will all work out .. took the risk of getting it through DTD,,,and so far everything worked out ok .. well thats me sitting next to the phone for a wee while longer i guess any advice that i can get will be very much appreciated.
  16. Looks like my build week has gone past (wk45) with no word from Kuldip at Malborough , London to say that its not been built . So heres hoping it will arrive some time next week
  17. Prodata, Onesque congratulations to both of you hope you enjoy your SM's. I on the other hand have to wait for my wee beastie and if all goes well it won't be long. Happy motoring guys. :-)
  18. I have a question to ask since i have never bought a new car before . How long on average does a PDI take????. I heard from the dealer that the build week for my SM is 1st November and then 3 weeks later it should be with them. Considering I live in Scotland I am trying to work out travel plans to get to London where the dealer is...I know its a wee while off yet but the excitment of owning a wee beastie is getting to me , ( soon to be proud owner of 1.2 dsg SE in pacific blue). Any info on this greatly apprecicated and on how to track it across from europe. TA
  19. PS I know I missed spelling 'calm' and my old banger is a 98 honda civic .Already got a few knocks in it from where the kids have learnt to drive ... But I am awaiting delivery of my SM in mid november.(1.2dsg SE in blue).Got to pick it up in london so looking forward to getting familiar with it on the road back home . Then i will take great heed of my learnered collegues suggestions on how to successfully drive her with out ending up in a ditch..
  20. Winter driving... let me see ... what you need are the following 1 Less heavy right foot, 2 Selction of the right gear to start off on, 3 Stay clam and drive smooth. And lastly An Old Banger ......Why risk killing a Yeti??????
  21. The car you need to solve your problem is London cab. Two seperate climate and only one front seat .
  22. Hi to the world of Brisky's . I am in the process of getting a wee beastie from drive the deal. Hope to pick it up mid November but have not got a build date . It can't come quick enough as my old Honda civic needs to retire.
  23. Hi to everyone. I am buying my yeti through drive the deal. This is the first time i have ever bought a new car. Has anyone got theirs from DTD and did you have any problems. I really want it to work out fine .
