  1. Picked mine up from the dealers this morning. I haven't had chance to get it "set-up" to my preferences yet, but I'm impressed thus far. 150 TDI DSG - Corrida Red I'm coming straight from a Golf R DSG, so a huge step-down in power and performance (i.e. half), but having our first child a few months ago means that priorities have changed! The engine is very smooth and the DSG feels well mated to the engine. I've only driven to the office and then a quick trip out at lunchtime, so I'm taking it very "softly softly" at the moment. I'm looking forward to trying out the Android Auto integration and taking it for a longer run soon! I'll report back with further impressions and findings.
  2. November 2016 brochure now on the Skoda, website. I'm assuming it's the same as the October brochure but with the price increases. Does include the Sportline specs
  3. My SportLine is going to be at the Dealers next week for pick-up. So whereas I haven't got it yet, all I have gone for is the additional Front Parking sensors (which I'm a bit aggrieved aren't standard) and the rear wiper... So all pretty standard. My dilemma, when always looking at the options list is "How much is this worth to me, vs the amount of times I will use it". An option may only cost about £200, but if I only use it 2/3 times during the 2 years I'll likely have the car, it's barmy paying all that money for c£100 a use!
  4. Review from Autoexpress for the Estate: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/skoda/superb/97609/skoda-superb-sportline-estate-2016-review
  5. Visited my local dealer today and saw their Red Sport Line in the showroom! First time I've seen the new superb. Order going in on Monday for a Lease!
  6. Got a brochure with an effective date of Oct16 today. Has the full Sportline details in it (which I haven't seen before in any brochure)
  7. Yeah, it's slightly disappointing. I thought they were going to produce a car alongside the Cupra 280 or even the Golf R.
  8. As reported by Autoexpress: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/skoda/octavia/90513/skoda-reveals-faster-octavia-vrs-230-for-geneva Details: 226bhp Same engine spec as VW Golf GTI Performance Pack 0-62 - 6.7s It's unknown at this time if the car will get the upgrades that the GTI Performance Pack has got (Diff / Brakes etc.)
  9. Sounds like I had the exact same issue with my car. Noise coming from the front of the car (not the doors) at motorway speeds. Luckily, my car was booked in around the time that this fix was posted on the systems so my dealer was able to fix it very easily. They didn't go into much detail about what the problem was but they indicated that it had something to do with the airflow around the front grill (which matches up with what has been posted here).
  10. I suppose that it depends on when the dealerships were made aware of the new deal... If they didn't know about it until the first of the month (i.e. Yesterday); then you havent been taken for a ride, the dealer wanted to get the sale of the car on their books for June and not July. Common practice as far as I am aware is that as soon as they can officially close the sale, they will do. If the dealer was aware before the date of you going in to sign the paperwork then you've been very unfortunate. All I can suggest is that you speak to them tomorrow and if that doesn't get you anywhere then speak to Skoda UK and see if they can do anything, mention that this isn't your first car with them and that you're a loyal customer, that always helps...
  11. I put a call into Skoda Customer Services. They said that the fault with the exhaust sensor was "uncommon" and that when I mentioned that I had read differently I was told: "things on forums get overblown"..... :wonder: But I stood firm, reminded them that I had a £20,000 new car awaiting build and delivery from them and that this would be the 4th Skoda in the family. I'm awaiting a callback from a case manager! I don't expect them to completely waive the cost, but £200 for a part that costs around £50 means I'm paying £150 for something which apparently (according to the service manager at my dealer) takes 30mins to fit!
  12. Thanks for the replies... Wanted to make sure they wernt doing me ovrr. Its an annoyance as im waiting on my new VRS to be delivered through them. Thats £200odd i wish i didnt have to spend on a car im only keeping for another month or so!
  13. I was about to set off for a journey down south for work this morning when I noticed one of the lights was on the dashboard. Ive got a Tdi Vrs 2007. I took it straight to my local dealers to get it checked over and the short of it is that the exhaust pressure sensor was shot... I've been quoted £190ish for replacement including fitting, so I have a couple of questions... 1) is this something that is caused by a faulty part or something that should have been done as part of a recall? 2) am I paying over the odds for the part and cost to fit Any advice appreciated. To be fair to my dealer, they sorted me out with a demonstrator until tomorrow so I could attend my meeting as they had no courtesy cars in to give to em. Thanks
  14. Very good price, did you get any options with that? Even at standard car spec that £18k is brilliant for a DSG TDI with Met Paint! Ps. I love it when people say "a lot of car for the money!" My mate who is a copper and drives Skodas as part of his job always says this about them!
