  1. Hi guys I'm getting the tyres changed tomorrow so I'll keep you posted. I swapped the tyres round (front to back) on Sunday and this has made things worse. Hopefully this resolves the problem as he garage are out of ideas oherwise
  2. Yes same place checked balancing and tracking. Could it be tyres if it only happens when accelerating and not when coasting? Wouldn't it happen all the time over a certain speed? Garage thought it could be transmission related but couldn't find anything
  3. Hi all hopefully this is the correct place to post this. My mark 2 superb with dsg gearbox has just developed an intermittent rumbling while accelerating over 50 mph that you can feel through he floor of the car. The problem only occurs while I'm accelerating, as soon as I take my foot off he gas the rumbling stops and starts again when I accelerate again. The problem only started after I had new tyres fitted and tracking corrected. I've had the tracking and balancing double checked and this is fine. I've taken it to a VAG specialist garage where they've checked suspension, bearing, csv joints and run diagnosistics checks but they can't find anything wrong. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?
  4. Hi There You've all probably seen lots of posts about DGS gearbox problems. I've been having problems for over a year now the main problem is this: when I slow down for a roundabout, but dont completly stop, and try to accelerate away the car lurches into 1st and revs very highly. I cant manually change the gear up, but after a few seconds the car realises that it needs to change and does so. Also I had to preform an emergancy stop when someone pulled out in front of me, when I accelated away I had a similar problem as the above, but all the gear upto about 3rd were very aggressive, e.g. jumpy / jerky The car has been in the garage 6 times now, i've had the gearbox Mechatronic unit replaced, the software on it re-flashed and had it reset but still I get the problem. The problem the dealer is having is getting the car to play up when they have the diagnostic kit hooked up because the problem is intermitent. After the last garage visit on 2nd June I loogged everyt event when this happened and Ihad about 10 in the end. When I asked the dealer to have a look again I mentioned my log and was told that it was pointless because they will only fix something if there is an error code. Which low and behold is not happening. I've also noticed that the car can be slow to respond when I try to pull away from roundabouts when I havent stopped. Has anyone else suffered with these problems, and if so have you been able to get it fixed. I'm trying to get some ideas as to what could be the problem Thanks in advance
  5. Hi A mate of mine has sent me the below link to a new model of bluetooth unit for Skoda's. Apparently its iphone compatable and you don't have to have rSAP. Is this legit or just wishful thinking? If it is legit how much do the units retail for in dealers?
