It downloaded the phonebook on phone + on the SIM card, but I believe you can disable either one. Also, I receive SMS messages on the maxidot display. Considering the fact that new BT part costs around 100-200 EUR on eBay, I would say it's worth doing it, unless you have absolutely no idea how to root the phone. regards!

I manage to use my HTC Desire (rSAP) and Skoda Superb II, with Columbus (only rSAP unit), with this app (http://www.android-rsap.com/). But you'll have to root your phone, which was quite easy following the guide on "unlocker" page(includes a video guide). Regards!

Hi All, I would like to ask you about 2 things: A.) Ski Bag. The original ski-bag costs around 120 EUR. Is it possible to use any generic ski bag or Audi/VW ski bag that may be found on the ebay? The important is that it has the same locking system as the original Superb ski bag. B.) I use 225/45/R17 94V tires now. I am considering buying new set of rims+tires 205/55/R16 for winter. Are there any safety reasons why this should not be done? Thank you for your input! Regards.

I have been deciding on new car for several months. Couple of months ago, I didn't even wanted to hear to check out the Superb. Also, some people I know, and which I asked for advice said.. "Yes, it is a good car (VW), but it is Skoda..." Now... since 2 weeks I own a Superb Combi 2,0 DGS automatic gearbox, Elegance equipment. I must say it is really a SUPERB car! It is big, with great attention to details, good build and very pleasant to drive. If you will go for DSG gearbox, take 170 hp, and you will not regret your decision ! I am quite tall (190 cm) and the drivers position is excellent (in my opinion better than bmw520). Those people mentioned above where speechless. After checking it out and a test drive, they all agreed it is the best buy! hope this helps, regards!

thanks for the tip. wondering why is not included in the manual... obviously user has to figure out some things by himself. btw: to all desire users: today I stopped at the service center. as expected, they coudn't do anything with htc desire and car's bluetooth. to change the superb phone or not, this is the question now another question: is it possible to increase ambient lighting (leds that are located on the roof and are illuminating the center console?). Found some info in the manual, but in my Maxidot there is no such setting. Any clues? Regards!

First, let me say hi to all of you! Since last week I am a new owner of Superb Combi, 2,0, 170, DGS. The car is amazing, and I am really satisfied with it and happy that I decided to pick it, after looong process of buying a new car. Now, I have a couple of questions, that I hope you will be able to help me with: 1. Exterior mirrors in reverse: is it possible to enable also the ext.mirror on the driver's side to lower when switching to reverse gear? 2. Bluetooth&Phone: I already found out the problem with my HTC Desire & Skoda is incompatibility of bluetooth protocol (Skoda uses rSAP, Desire doesn't) (I guess I have GSM III premium, columbus nav+radio). The service guy told me I could stop by and they will try to change some settings in VAG-COM, as the HTC Desire should be on the list of compatible devices. This is strange to me, does anyone know if this is possible? 3. Is there any useful/cool featuere that can be enabled via VAG-COM? 4. What kind of roof rack (bars) do you use?
