I've noticed over the past few days that my reverse lights have stopped working. I have checked the bulbs and the fuse which all seem fine. I have parking sensors on the car which have also failed but I imagine that all these are connected on the same circuit. I've done a quick search and have seen a few threads about the reverse switch near the gear box. Does anyone have any information regarding this? I have tried searching for a guide but couldn't find anything. Thanks David

Service light when it's not needed
Dave100 replied to Rusko187's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
It's shows you in the manual. It's very easy to do but can't remember off the top of my head. I'm sure someone will be along shorty to advise. -
Service light when it's not needed
Dave100 replied to Rusko187's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Mine has done the same on the past 2 services and is very annoying as it beeps every time I turn the ignition on. I'm not sure what causes it but you can reset it but will come on again in 1000 miles. -
Ok thanks, I'm guessing that if I hold the clutch down at traffic lights this will probably help as it won't rattle.

What are the early signs of DMF failure? Only reason I ask is I seem to be getting a slight knock/rattle when the engine is cold. If I put the clutch in then it goes. Once the engine is warm everything is fine. I don't have any problem changing gear and there is no slip from the clutch. Any help really appreciated. David

Does anyone know if these will fits? Says they are 8mm but don't if the fabia ones are. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10x-Skoda-Volkswagen-VW-Interior-Trim-Door-Card-Panel-Fastener-Clips-/280749283096?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item415df61718#ht_1279wt_711 Thanks David

Hi I had my car serviced a few months back and one of the advisories was "Rear wishbone bushes splitting". Can anyone tell me what the proper name for this is? I've tried searching this term but doesn't really bring much back. Do they mean the console bush? Also what do people expect to pay for this sort of work? Thanks

That is the correct place to put the gasket, I also believe you can put it in another place but it isn't as affective. See more information on this website. http://www.fabia-vrs.com/technical-info/blt-engine-hesitation-fix/ Also can I ask where you got the part from as I also need to do the fix but can't locate the part anyway? Thanks

I've read this website (http://www.fabia-vrs.com/technical-info/blt-engine-hesitation-fix/)about fixing the hesitation. It mentions that you need to buy this gasket - part number is 028 131 547 B. The problem is I can't find anywhere that sells it. I've spoken to Skoda who didn't recognise the part number and have searched Google but can't find any website that sell it. Does anyone know where I can get it from? Thanks David

Can you drain battery completely by listening to stereo?
Dave100 replied to anewman's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Yes it can drain your battery, especially if you have sub, amps etc. I know as a mate has done it, he was listening for just over an hour with the engine off. You can imagine what happened next. -
I've tried applying the brakes but this doesn't seem to stop the noise. Do you think a wheel bearing could cause this? Just with it only happening when going round bends makes me think otherwise. Thanks David

I've noticed that recently that when going round a roundabout (started when just turning right but now seems to be left and right) I get a squeaking noise. Now it sounds rotational as when you speed up it the squeak gets quicker. I've had a quick search and the only thing I could find was to do with brakes. I've checked and the brakes seem find and have loads of life left in them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks David

Does anyone know the part number for that bit of hose and the clip?
