The dealership called me with an update (well to say that they still didn't have a build date confirmed) and he asked me how much of an issue/inconvenience I though it was that the car wouldn't be delivered by March, I said that i would be without a car from the start of April, and he said that Skoda UK were looking to offer a loan car. So i called Skoda UK the next day to chat about my annoyance and that after taking a risk and swapping from BMW, we hadn't really got off to a good start. They said that the loan car was an option they would look at, but i haven't taken them up on it yet. I get the feeling it will be provided by the dealer and i guess they claim back from Skoda UK. Interestingly Skoda UK claim they are at the mercy of SKoda Europe and cannot hurry things along.

For what its worth I've a CR scout on order from September too, dealership say I'm entitled to a loan car, spoke to Skoda UK and they confirmed this is something they are looking at

Anybody been lucky enough to take delivery of a scout in the past few months (mine due in theory in March, ordered Sept 10)? If so what tyres did they come fitted with, is it still the Dunlops? Cheers

Ordered my Scout in September with a delivery date of March 2011, apparently due to demand and the compant that produce the under chassis protection going bust (according to the dealer) they couldn't even get a demonstrator model

Its standard 140 CR manual. First thing the dealership informed me of, apparently the back log is due to a company that make the chassis protection pack going bust, so skoda had to find a new one and as a result it created the backlog. The dealership couldn't even get a demonstrator model?

Hi guys New to this forum. As the topic suggests, just wondered what thoughts were on the MPG (and general driving etc) of the older PD diesel Octavia scout vs the newer CR version. I've just ordered the CR diesel Octavia scout (back order for delivery next March) Cheers (apologies if this has been discussed before)
