  1. Now thats nice, fair play to you mate. You got any plans for it, restoring graphics etc?
  2. Well i have to say having the Scooby RA and the VRS has opened my eyes to what comfort is. The scoob is on cuscos and the ride rattles your fillings out, but its huge fun. The VRS is like silk compared to the hardcore nature of the RA,the VRS is still impressing me a year on after buying it.A truly amazing car for the money.
  3. Girlfriend needs some new mats for the car, does anyone know where i can source genuine ones, does the dealer still do them? Thanks in advance.
  4. Decided instead of modding, i would just buy what i wanted out of the box.VRS is staying aswell, its just too good a car, plus girlfriend loves it too much! Impreza WRX RA 280 bhp standard
  5. Im also back there again in March £260 for Cambelt, water pump and tensioner and £160 for a full major service. the stealer wanted £453 for the Cambelt and water pump alone. Like i say, i cant fault them
  6. Hi Mike, the WRC is very unique especially as its 100/100 and only 23 on the road too. I would be very reluctant to sell it if it was me, plus i think you wouldn't get the full value in the present climate. The Superb on the other hand could go for more as diesels are always a good seller. Having owned alot of Subarus and driving all different models, i think you should consider a Forrester. There are various specs and engine types that could be had within your budget and there not a bad car at all. Also my old man drives a TD5 Discovery, not my cup of tea, but i have to say it is damm comfortable and has alot of toys.He has a bad back but loves the Disco on long journeys. There both 4x4's but the disco is the real deal. In short i think the WRC must stay, its a very nice piece of Skoda history and can only appreciate in value. What other car you get is trickier
  7. Maybe well off, but the camber hasnt been adjusted has it?
  8. Just back from their garage after people on here recommended them. I can see why now, had an MOT and a sticky drivers rear caliper looked at. They tried their absolute best to free it up but i had to have a new one, they sourced it and fitted it today aswell. Car flew through the MOT too, so very happy. Polite, friendly and professional whilst respecting my car, couldn't fault them. Oh and a great price too!
  9. LOL!Me too, just had a new rear drivers caliper, silver!!!!!
  10. Does anyone know the colour code etc and where can i get it from? Thanks in advance.
  11. Had exactly the same problem, wiper was groaning and coming on when it felt like it, stripped the panel off the tailgate and took the cover off the motor, the wiring was soaked so it must of been shorting. The washer seals looked like they were perished and water had leaked in. There was dirty greased up wet gunk from the leaking seal, i used a hairdryer to dry the wires, cleaned it all up and spray greased the mechanism. The wiper has now sped up and doesnt groan, not to fussed about the washer, just know not to use it.
  12. Have you checked the rear discs/pads/calipers and the handbrake adjustment etc mate?
  13. LOL!!! Thats the thing with a scooby, the UK turbo would hit 0-60 in 5.4 and 0-100 in 14.6 out of the box, so even with an exhaust change and a remap you can see 250 bhp as i did. But with only a small TD04 turbo you can only do so much, thats why i got the P1,mine with a VF28 turbo and remap etc saw 326bhp on the rollers Obviously you can go much bigger and better on the turbo side,I think they are a good platform to mod and in a different league to the vrs, the vrs excels in areas the scoobies cant compete with, such as mpg lol! Depends what you need your car for, my P1 was a weekend toy, i couldnt have used it as a daily car, not like the vrs.
  14. There only group 17 which isnt that bad really, mine jumped when i went from a UK turbo to the P1 but not by much.
