  2. Well I have just replaced my 2 numberplate bulbs with LED'S but they have either blown straight away or a fuse has gone! But they dont work thats for sure! Wish I hadnt bothered!
  3. I have just replaced my numberplate bulbs with 2 new led bulbs. I replaced 1 at a time, but now both of the lights dont work?! Have I blown a fuse? Sorry if its a bit vague! I have made sure they are securely in position but still nothing! Any Ideas anyone?! Thanks
  4. The good old classiscs My step sis had a MK1 Escort when she got it it was all original even the wood radio! there was also seat covers on all the seats which looked like they had been made to fit! We took them off only to find the original black leather seats in mint condition! was well chuffed! She sold it about a year later to some young lad and he ripped all the original bits off and FU***D it up by making it custom! what a waste!
  5. Still alot of dollar! are these straight replacements? is there any extra wiring needed? Thanks
  6. Lol Well at the time I was living at home rent free so I got my dream car as I had the cash to throw at it! When I was driving it sensibaly which was rare! I got around 18mpg But most of the time it was around 10mpg if I was lucky! I was gutted when I sold her but at the same time relieved at the bottomless hole in my wallet! for eg, 2 rear tyres cost me over £450 that was regular enough being a rear wheel drive super car! I love my skoda if I had the money I would get another Supra but use it in the summer! I think if I had it now i'de be catching the bus everywhere! lol I will post some pics of it
  7. Thanks for the breakdown there, Wow I didnt realise it would cost so much! I wouldnt want to trade mine in as I have done mod's that other skoda's wouldnt have so I would be back to square one in that respect! I have seen some sets on ebay they are not Xenon but not sure what they are like I have heard mixed reports on them and some sets state they are for 99-03 models which is confusing as they list them to fit a Fabia VRS! Look Here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Skoda-Fabia-DRL-ANGLE-EYE-HEADLAMPS-HEADLIGHT-LAMP-VRS_W0QQitemZ220653740875QQcategoryZ100919QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286.m7QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D2%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5854666934958692910
  8. No not confused Just wasnt sure how much OEM Xenon lamps were, tbh I couldnt afford £1200- £1500 so I would prob like to go for some focused beam lamps with LED's I have seen some on ebay they say its for 99-2003 models but I have heard these fit later model mk1's not sure if this is the case though!? Its a shame there arnt any decent sets out there for less money than OEM sets really. Thanks
  9. I am thinking about replacing my standard headlights with OEM xenon lights I have seen a few sets of headlights on ebay the sets with the DRL (daylight led strip) but they look a bit cheap?! Can anyone recomend what the best option would be baring in mind the price of OEM Xenon headlights! Thanks
  10. Here's my list; Blue Fiat Punto 1.2 Abarth (1st) Blue Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 sport (2nd) White Toyota Supra Top Secret RZ Twin Turbo 403bhp (3rd! Amazing car had to sell her :'( ) Black Skoda Fabia VRS Mk1 (4th great car far more drivable than a Supra lol! ) Gona stick with the diesle me thinks far less to pay out for!
  11. Did you get these headlights in the end? If so did they fit?
  12. I have a set of these drilled and grooved discs and Mintex pads on my Fabia Vrs. I have to say they are good for the money you pay for them. I had a slight issue with one of the rear discs when I fitted them one of the discs was warped! I called up M-Tech and they were very helpfull and replaced them straight away. I would invest in these again but would recomend upgrading brake hoses aswell. HTH
  13. Sorted! I took the lights out AGAIN I done all the connections again, and relocated the ballast. Seems to be working fine now, all I have to do is re-aline the headlights which I am going to do in a min! They look spot on such a difference to standard bulbs!
  14. Ok mate I will try that, it was a pain in the a*** to fit the kit! I wont be happy if it is the ballast as they are brand new! Im not having much luck with my car at the mo! IMO! Cheers
  15. I have just fitted a set of HID lights to my fabia vrs. one of the lights has a slight flicker which is really anoiying! Any ideas why it is doing this? Connection is ok I was wondering if it could be a dodgy ballast.? Thanks
  16. I have a set of 6k H7 HID's I wasnt sure weather to install them on my VRS but I am really tempted! The only thing that worry's me is the bulbs melting the headlight mirror as I know they can get very hot?!
  17. Yep these are the ones I have! are they the right ones?! They did fit my car when I had the car jacked up etc but wasnt sure where to connect the ARB :S .... Thanks
  18. Ok mate thanks i was informed they were the correct set for the vrs i am starting to wonder now!
  19. Hi I have just got myself a set of Apex RDX Coilovers and tried fitting today and couldnt work out where the anti roll bar drop link fits on the damper there doesnt seem to be any fixings on the damper for the anti roll bar to connect to? is there a specific way of doing this? or do you need to modify the drop link?, I would appreciate it if anyone could help me on this as I am stuck with this one. Many Thanks
  20. Ooops! sorry smartarse! Cheers for pointing that one out tho!
