Just topped mine up for the first time - half a litre after 1300 miles. I notice in the handbook it says to check the oil level when the engine is 'warm'. What is 'warm' exactly (I think it's a bit vague) ?

I couldn't see any movement when I was driving, I also shone the lights on to the wall across the road (while stationary) and couldn't see any movement but I don't know if they move when stationary ? I've seen this Roomster on YouTube and you can see the headlights move Not sure if these are the same as curve projectors ?Do the curves look different to non curve lights ? Any photos anywhere ?

Just an update.. Today I took delivery of my vRS and I got the MDI cable with it.. but only because I went to the dealers yesterday to hand in my old car and asked if they had my cable ready. Once again I pointed out that it says 'included' in the brochure. The dealer had a look and was amazed that it should actually be included. He even went on to say that he'd sold several vRS's and none of them had been given a cable Anyway make sure you get yours and state what sort of plug you want on the end as I think there are about 4 different ones.

Just got my vRS and had curve projector headlights as one of the options. Should you be able to see them swivel/move/rotate when turning the wheel (when the car is stationary) as mine don't seem to ?

I've opted for black on my blue vrs. The car at the dealers was blue with black wheels and I thought it looked smart. Don't know about other wheels as the dealer didn't have any other cars with different coloured wheels so can't comment.

Yes, I was told by my dealer that the car must be registered within 14 days of landing in the UK. I'm on build week 4 so maybe I'll be on a 60 plate too - was hoping for 11 plate, but could still happen if there are delays on their end.

If using the hard drive as described in this thread, is it possible to play the tracks in a random order (I usually have my iPod set to random play) ?

If you buy a Mk2 vRS (without the sat nav option) are all the necessary connectors/wires behind the dash so you can fit one later ?

It's asking for an SLi number - any idea where I can find this ?

I put my order in for a vRS early Nov and was told yesterday build week 5. I mentioned that I expected the build date to slip but the dealer said that it's pretty stable now. Was also told it takes a week to build it and then about 3 weeks to get here so maybe an 11 plate for me ?

Very nice car, I've also gone for blue with black wheels but without the white roof. Can I ask when you ordered yours/how long it took to get it ? (oops, sorry just seen your post above)

Thanks for posting this. When I was ordering my vRS I mentioned to the dealer that the brochure stated 'cable included' but he didn't give me a definite yes or no so I hope I get mine. Do you think anyone who has ordered the car should write/email Skoda CS about this ?

I thought I was ok to drive an auto until yesterday when I saw the B Auto category and then I got to wondering, but everything's ok now

When I asked for blue/black the dealer looked in the brochure and said "sorry, that combination is not allowed" so I mentioned the website configurator. He then wasn't sure so made the call and said it's definately not allowed and added something about it being a European option only ??

I was told last week that blue with black roof is not available as that combo was what I wanted. The dealer rang someone (head office ?) whilst I was there to confirm.

I passed my test about 7 years ago in a manual car but will be getting a new vRS which is automatic. I was looking at the categories on my licence (B, B1, f, k, l, n, p) but I see on the direct.gov website My link there is also a "B Auto" category which I don't have. So my question is.. am I allowed to drive automatics on my licence ? Is the B Auto category for those who passed their test in automatics maybe ??

Thanks for the input. VRS now test driven (only a short test drive unfortunately) and ordered Surprisingly the dealer never mentioned GAP insurance or service plans but did manage to sell me the interior/exterior protection (after a bit of haggling over the overall price).

Hi all, Been lurking around here for a while gathering info. on the new Fabia VRS. I've got a test drive booked later this week and will hopefully be ordering after that (will be a small step up from my Felicia 1.3 ) I've never bought a brand new car before so I was just wondering if there's anything I should look out for ? I've already seen threads about GAP insurance (this is something I didn't know about) - is there anything else I might be asked to purchase that I can get cheaper elsewhere or don't need etc. ? Thanks.
