vRS estate ordered 8th September....arriving on Santa's transporter on the 23rd

Octy vRS Estate in Meteor Grey being delivered on 23rd December Not too bad considering I ordered it on 8th September! Lease company tried to fob me off with "we're not delivering any more this month". I kicked off though as I'm in Florida for 2 weeks in January so they were saying it would have to be delivered in February. Sitting at the dealers for 2 months? No thanks, I want it NOW! Anyway, well chuffed. Nice, early Xmas present. And who says Santa doesn't exist eh?!

I drove the ST FR and thought it was a cracking car to drive. Love the way it looks. Unfortunately the interior I thought was bloody awful. So I went for the VRS. Which I'm still waiting for.

I know DAB isn't a big thing for everybody, but I find it incredible that it's not even an option in a car that costs that much. Which is a shame, because it's a cracking motor otherwise.

Mazda 6. No DAB radio. No option to spec DAB radio. End of conversation at the dealers for me.

Theres a black hatch about 3 roads down from me, noticed today. Don't know if it lives there, best looking car on the block. For now........

My demo had Columbus too. Swung it for me, up to that point I was nailed on for the Leon ST FR...

Hi all. Thinking about ponying up for an iPhone 6 when I go to the US in January, as my iPod Classic is really starting to show its age now. I've never used a phone to play music in any of my regions cars, so excuse the ignorance....will the iPhone 6 charge as well as play if it's connected via the standard USB connection cable (not Mitsumi as I know that's not needed with Columbus)? Also, I take it you can play music via the USB whilst still having Bluetooth enabled for phone calls? what I mean is, by having Bluetooth on, it won't automatically play music via Bluetooth? Thanks

Sounds right. Ordered mine 8th September, being built end of this month, should be here December (although I'm not collecting it till January, regardless). Mine is also company/lease car.

Just seen a transporter full of new Skodas heading southbound on the M3. Amongst them, a rather tasty looking L & K Octavia in Metal Grey. Anybody waiting on one?!

Still happy mate! Just the timing....if this had happened 6/12 months from now I'd have thought nothing of it. But I really would have liked it. Not to worry

Thanks mate. The email I got from Zenith.... "Unfortunately the Adaptive Cruise Control cannot be added to your order as a build slot has been confirmed. No amendments can be made to the spec of your order at this point." Sounds a bit ambiguous. If it's getting built next week, it should be here next month then....which, considering I only ordered it 5 weeks ago, seems unlikely.

Also, andyvee mentioned "code 10" v "code 20" with regards to build weeks. I'm new to all this (as you can probably tell).....what's the difference between the two?

I thought the display height was ok....I'm coming from a Passat where the (tiny) sat nav/info screen sits about halfway down the panel, even lower than on the Skoda. So the Skoda is actually an improvement for me! I take your point though, it could be improved.

Thanks for the info guys. I've just emailed Zenith and called "bulls**t" on their original reply. To be fair the info has probably been fed to them by Skoda UK. If my car is due mid January, I'm guessing (taking into account Christmas) the build date would be sometime around the start of December, meaning there's no reason why I can't get ACC. I also told them if I'd known this was going to happen, I'd have delayed ordering. See what happens I suppose.

My commute is Bedfordshire to Southampton. A41, M25, M3, M27. That's EXACTLY why I wanted it. I got the opportunity to use it on my 4 day test drive and on the 4 day test drive I had in the Leon ST FR (same system, but comes as standard...I think). It's brilliant. Couldn't tell you mate. All done through the lease company. They said "no", that's that. I'll live without it but I now know that the car will be going back at the end of the lease period !

Available? Yes. Can I get it? No. Apparently I've been allocated a build slot already so it's too late. Not happy.

I've just emailed my lease company re adding ACC (yes, I know it's 23:30, but it couldn't wait!)..... See what they say tomorrow. Would be a MASSIVE bonus if (a) it's true and ( I can get it added. Fingers crossed!

This is massively annoying. I only ordered mine last month, with ACC, only to be told it wasn't available.....

Is ACC available immediately? I might have to change my order....
