  1. A late response, but still; you were right! There IS sound coming out of the rear speakers - even though the fader-settings on the Bolero shows all front It appears that the fader-settings on the screen varies - some times it shows the correct status, but most of the time not. An annoying fault, if you ask me, but I can live with it. The important thing is having sound coming out of all speakers. Thank you so much for the tip, and for saving me a visit at my local dealer looking like an idiot... John
  2. Thank you so much for the tip! I will try turning up the volume and see if the fader-setting on the screen is just showing the wrong status. Hoping this is the solution for me as well. I'll report the result here.
  3. I have a MY 2011 Superb estate fitted with Bolero audio system and the upgraded Sound System. Recently I discovered that the sound balance was set to all front, and that no sound came out through the rear speakers. I therefore tapped the "note-button" on the top left corner of the Bolero and adjusted the setting. However, the setting won't "stick"! The next time I shut the ignition off/on again the sound balance is reset to all front. A couple of times the setting has been correct when I restart the car, but mostly it's reset itself back to all front. What do I to/tap/click to get the adjusted sound-settings on the Bolero to "stick"?? I have tried holding the touch-screen button until I hear a confirmation beep etc., but no luck so far. I have consulted the Bolero handbook, but got no help there. Is there something wrong with my system, or am just I doing it all wrong? I don't wan't to visit my local Skoda dealership and look like an idiot, if this is something I should have understood by my self Best regard, John Trondheim, Norway
  4. How do you do it? (I assume without VCDS, wich I don't have access to)
  5. The warning-light for TPM Tyre Pressure Monitor came on yesterday while driving on the motorway, and the message "Please check tyres" could be seen in the Maxidot. However, the tyre pressure is perfect in all wheels, and the sign/warning will not come off (lights up every time the egnition is turned on). Guess I will have to take the car to the local dealer tomorrow - but, does anybody have any idea what this could be? Any ideas anyone?
  6. Hey, Mr. Laaban - same country and same model as me I have my winter tyres (Continental WinterContact without spikes) mounted on 17" Trifid alloys - very comfortable, superb ( ) grip and no problems at all. Send me a message if you want to discuss the subject further - in norwegian John
  7. Yes, you buy an extra set of wheels. For me, living in Norway, winter tyres are essential (not to mention demanded by law). For me this was also the perfect "excuse" to have my Superb fitted with 18" Luxon alloys on the summer tyres, hence using the 17" Trifid that came with the car on the winter tyres. Loving the design of both, so not having to choose between them was also nice John
  8. Well, sadly it really didn't help that much :( As 900000 wrote, this also sets the volume to what you hear when people are talking to you on the phone. So, you turn the volume up to hear - and then the loud "bong" is back (unless you are really, really quick to turn the volume down again before hanging up... ) Was hoping for a more permanent solution. Not sure what to make of the fact that some report not having this sound at all, and some that the "bong" and their speaker-volume is not parallel... Sigh... John
  9. Yeehaa! I will try this as soon as I get home from work Thank you, Superbjoser! (how did you find this out, anyway??) John
  10. Hi again! Tried putting the phone in silent mode, but the beep (or should I rather say "two tones") was still there... Rather interesting that Fernrock's sound disappeared after replacement of the Colombus-unit... Don't know what to make of that...
  11. The loud beep comes from the car through the speakers - not the phone. Haven't tried putting the phone in silent mode to see if that makes any difference - but will surely try it this afternoon (and post the result). I actually hopes this is not the case, though - as it is easy to forget putting the phone in silent mode when entering the car. I want a silent, seamless and automatic connection between the phone and my Superb, and don't need a confirming beep every time the phone connects/disconnects. I do not have Colombus, but Bolero. Initially thought the sound could easily be switched off, but couldn't find any settings for this under "Phone" in the MaxiDot. Nor any info in the manual. Any further ideas?
  12. Have searched the manual, but couldn't find the answer there. Every time my phone connects/disconnects to my Superb with Bluetooth (in other words, every time the iginition is turned on or off) - there is a LOUD beep. The sound is disturbingly loud both for me - and not at least for my (often) sleeping children in the back seat. So, how can I turn the sound down, or even better, off? Anyone??
  13. Me too... Had hoped for more replies by now - impressed with the knowledge members of this forum has shown in other threads.
  14. The "new" VW Passat can be ordered with "Park Assist 2.0" - that also can perform reverse parking into a space at 90 degrees to the kerb. My Superb has what I suppose can be called "Park Assist 1.0" - and can therefore only parallel park the car. Btw, this is not for me, just the Mrs ;-) (I guess they all say that, right...?) So I wonder; since all the sensors and stuff is already there - shouldn't it be possible to do a software upgrade and get Park Assist 2.0 on the Superb as well?? But I guess no VW dealer would be willing to do this anyway...? What do you recon?
