The Government is behind the roll out of Smart Meters. These can separate and ring fence the charging of your EV. This would then enable them to add a surcharge to your bill. Job done.

My new Golf has an electronic handbrake and honestly Graham after being a bit sceptical at first I can say it's one of the best features of the car. Put on autohold and just forget about it.....really good :sun:

"I'm assuming the car I've ordered is a Euro 6 compliant car, and not subject to the scandal. This being the case are recent Skodas also not affected just as Golf 7's are clear too?" The 150bhp 2.0 TDi engines are not affected..... :sun:

I doubt it would be possible to retro-fit as the wiring loom is completely different. Have one on my Golf came as standard as is an ex demo car. I could think of better ways to spend my money if I had to pay for it... :|

Torque/horsepower comparison 2.0 TDI 170 (2009) and TDI 150 (2016?
looby replied to Agerbundsen's topic in Skoda Yeti
I have a Golf 7 GTTdi 150. Having come from a 140 in a mk5 and mk6 it's completely different experience. The torque does stay in later and when it does it has a much longer shove so when overtaking you can stay in the gear without having to change up. I like it but it can feel a bit flat at first in the higher gears partly because I think they are taller. The downside is that the fuel consumption is considerably worse, high 40's compared to high 50's in the 140bhp. This may be partly due to the EA288 engine being EURO 6 so it uses more fuel to reach the very low emissions and that it has only done 11,000 miles. I hope this helps... :| Here is a vid of the EA288 engine.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLAb1wpzz9g -
Yea, not like greedy UK rip-off. The wholesale price of diesel is 4p cheaper than petrol but they are charging more, typical....
