  1. Important Update: Dealers just call me and say they just received Skoda instruction (sorry for my bad english)... my Yeti need replacement of "exhaust" of the turbo, not the whole turbo. Even the waranty expired, Skoda did me a favour and since my Yeti dont have many miles on the clock, Skoda will pay for the part, I will pay only mechanics labour. I asked should I be concern next 20.000kms for another replacement, they assure me it shuldnt happen again. I asked them is it a factory defect part then (since I didnt find many turbo problem at other 1.4TSI), but they were very evasive about answering that. All I have to do is wait for part to arrive (7-10 days). After all, Better than I expected
  2. My dealer is waiting for service instructions from Skoda officials, but whole turbo or just actuator will be replaced fo sure. But to me as loyal customer who bought 2 Yetis at the same time, more important information will be who will pay the bill, since the warranty expired.
  3. Last several days, after 10-15 mins of driving, turbo is starting to choke and engine loose power in brief periods (500-2000ms), and few times turbo would go completely off, until I stop by the road and restart of the engine and it run fine. During that "choke/stick/stuck turbo" or whatever its called in english, it's drive like classic 1.4 w/o turbo. No smoke, no EPC light. During the "no turbo" period, I tried to rev the engine in neutral, but it took eternity to hit the 4-5K rpms. First time it happen I thougt its limp mode, since it wont pass 4K rpms, but there was no warning lights! 3 hours ago I left it at the dealer, they already took a brief look at it and phone me something about "turbo is sticking" and they will look at it thoroughly tommorow. I hope its something small, because my 2yr warranty expired 9 monts ago...
  4. No problems with fitting heated screen.. waited 2 weeks for import. Ontopic, we replaced 2 screens in 2 years. One on 1.2 (standars screen, flying bottle from neighbor window) and one heated @1.4 (small rock from truck in opposite lane). Had some small rocks after but screen doesnt even chipped. Btw, screen is same as on Roomster.
  5. I like round foglights, I dont like Rapid nose (nor anything from Mission L and Rapid, at all)!
  6. My average is 8.1 /100km (35 mpg) according to maxidot, for last 10.000 kms. Dont worry, consumption will go down about 20% after first 3-4000 kms.
  7. Cheapest diesel over here is Mazda CX-5 CD150 AWD Challenge € 27.390
  8. Yes, just wipe it onto the seals with fingers. More about door seals and glycerine: http://forum.roadfly...n-on-door-seals let us know does it help..
  9. Did You try glicerine? Its avaliable in pharmacies over here, and its common for using on cars due to winter icing of the rubber seals on doors.
  10. My shelf is at home all the time, much easier life without it
  11. What 1.4TSI engine is article related to (122PS, 150PS or 180PS) ?
  12. There is so much difference between 16" and 17" ride in Yeti, that You can feel it without leaving a parking lot! Steering in our 1.2TSi @16" is noticably lighter than in 17" 1.4 TSI. Since Im driving 1.4TSI I will consider to go for 215/60 R17 or even 225/60 R17 when its come to tyre change.. Should I say anything else about ride comfort difference?
  13. 20K kms with 1.2 TSI, no problems. 13K kms with 1.4 TSI, no problems.

    Yeti recall

Our 1.2TSI is booked for some turbo parts change/upgrade.. 1.4TSI works like a charm though

    Broken Down.

2 days ago Skoda dealer contacted me about our 1.2 TSI, something about chekcing the turbo and some belt stuff before our waranty expires. I will know more in Wednesday... We had no problems with our 1.2 TSI (20.000km) so far. Worst case scenario Im afraid of is turbo fail after 25.000 kms.. and warranty expires.
  16. Skoda bigger SUV 2014: ~4.6m, 2.0TSI, higher seating position, ~500l boot, >22cm ground clearance... just my wish list.

    1.4 tsi - noise

I dont notice any noise increase ~2500rpm in 1.4TSI.
  18. Had no problems with 1.4TSI in Yeti, and I havent heard or read of any..
  19. You wont notice diff. in city driving conditions! Go for 1.2 TSI.

    Yeti 1.4 TSI?

There is slight difference in urban condition, slow turns in 2nd gear.. 1.4TSI accelarate like it should, but 1.2TSI sometimes need 1st gear. For urban driving, 1.2TSI and price differnce is the win. But, on roads >120km/h, 1.4 TSI is so much responsive in 5th & 6th gear..
  21. I ordered mine from milotec.de and very satisfied. Didnt encounter wind noise, or elec. windows disfunction, never. But, there was some sort of squeking few month after instalation, but now everuthing is fine. I would purchase them again.

    EPC Light

Our 1.2TSi is 10K kms so far, and there was no glitches so far, but there is too many posts about turbo problem on 1.2 to forget about it. I would like to see a sticky poll in Yeti forum.. Is this problem with VW/Seat 1.2TSI cars also?
  23. I'm very pleased with 2WD 1.4 Yeti and snow tyres. Ground clearance helps a lot. There was 1 situation I was stupid enough to get into, 40cm of snow.. for 50m down the slope, it was very painfull to go back uphill later, I had to go reverse for few minutes. That was the only time I regret not to buy 4x4 version (and Im still dreaming of it) After that "reverse climbing" rims were full of snow and later on the road I feel vibrations ~90km/h, i calm myself it must be the snow in the rims that make the tyres unbalanced. I parked it in garage, snow from rims melted, and the next morning no more vibrations.
  24. Thanks, that will do the trick. I will use it permanently in the car. Cig. adapter is 5V (not 12v), I already hide the adapter cable nicely trough wood trim.
