Hi all, been trying to fit rear seat cover to my new taxi for obvious reasons but just cant get rear bench seat out. any help please... ta

I have 56 plate Mk 1 & have got a very wet driver side rear footwell. I took door card off & sat in the car while my mate hosed water over the closed window. There was a lot of water running down inside the plastic membrane and out of the bottom of the door when I thought the water should run over the membrane... Anyway the membrane is in new condition SO could it be that I need a new outer window seal. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have a 56 plate octavia 1.9 tdi, the arm or rod that comes out of the steering rack has got play at the rack end, is it a big job or could I replace it myself as I have been quoted £120.00 by the garage that failed it on the M.O.T. I would be grateful for any help or advice...CHEERS.

Hi I have a 56 plate mk1 octavia, the off side rear manual window stopped working. I took the door card off & found a broken cable. I'm not very clued up on cars but can I just replace the cable OR will I have to change the regulator thingy???? Thanks for any help...Cheers.

HI I have a 56 plate 19tdi taxi, the battry went dead Saturday night,there was no warning light, anyway my mate had a 90 amp spare battry off a vectra, said I could have it but my duff battry is 70 amp. will the 90 amp be ok or will it do harm to my altinator.Cheers and thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply mbames. I always tell them to use 5/30 long life. Ithink 5 k is far to early before my oil light comes on. Cheers.

HI my 1.9tdi uses 1 ltr of oil every 5.000 miles. I asked an AA patrol man, he said some engines are like that? there is no leaks and have oil/filter changes each 10k. Has anyone else got this prob? what causes it to us oil? I bought it at 64,000 miles, now on 95,000. HELP....

Hi any advice would be welcome! I have an octavia 56 plate mk1 with rear disc brakes, the near side rear wheel is getting hot-ish! will it be a sticky cable or something worse? I noticed that the car would not roll/ free wheel easily?
