  1. Hi everyone, A bit cheeky I know, as I haven't been on the forums for a very long time. My girlfriend has just bought a VW Golf GTI DSG and the passenger seat occupancy sensor is playing up. I've read that the warning (both audible and visual on the display) can be switched off for good with the VCDS system. Can anyone do this for me, preferably local to the New Milton area? I'd be very grateful for any help with this. Dan
  2. Thanks for your reply. Not had any interest so far. Had it on a few places for a couple of weeks!
  3. The location was the Queen Elizabeth Quay at dock gate 4 in Southampton docks. It was a Pistonheads event.
  4. Thanks, but you missed the grey 207, silver A4 and the red Viper!
  5. Hi, As I have my car up for sale I thought I’d take some time to get some good photos of it. Spent a day cleaning it, took the wheels off, cleaned inside the arches, behind the wheels, polished and waxed it and took it out to get some photos. Comments welcomed as always! 6. Look at the connector, you'll see a little tab to push in. Push it and the connector slides apart. Slide the outer cover out to the side, 90 degrees to the wires.
  7. You do have maxidot. The white on black screen is maxidot
  8. Oops, just realised you're after a new CR.
  9. I don't do too many miles, but do keep a full log of my mileage and MPG on my iPhone, which is handy! I have the PD VRS TDI 465 miles - 43.26 MPG 473 miles - 42.69 MPG 475 miles - 40.62 MPG 187 miles - 45.68 MPG 495 miles - 43.80 MPG 302 miles - 38.98 MPG 458 miles - 40.79 MPG 444 miles - 39.10 MPG 373 miles - 39.87 MPG 453 miles - 41.02 MPG 420 miles - 40.18 MPG 510 miles - 45.98 MPG 402 miles - 42.69 MPG I've done 5,833 miles since I bought the car in November, which works out at pretty much bang on 10,000 miles a year. Almost all of my driving is twisty country lanes to work each day, stuck behind stop start school run traffic. Get on the motorway maybe once a month for a run to Cornwall or London to visit family. Long term average is 41.82 MPG. Hope that helps give you some realistic figures on a PD TDI.
  10. Definitely black magic. And get some Lamin-X tints for the headlights too.
  11. I'd be interested in hearing more about this please.
  12. All working. Thanks for your help. I had VCDS set to "light sensor" rather than "personalisation". Switched it to personalisation and now it works fine. Should read the instructions properly!
  13. Ok, Ill check the wiring but I'm 99% certain it's right! Unless my joint between the two wires isn't good. I pulled out all the plug but couldn't get the control unit out. I did manage to identify the right plug though by looking at the diagram and cross referencing the wire colours and pin locations. Will check again!
