  1. Ok...small update. Finally had the throttle body cleaned today. Small improvement on throttle response on the lower revs, but hesitation/judder is still there. All pipework / breather pipes checked and still no issues there. The garage that did the work think it's a map problem. I've done a search but can't find any issues regarding Revo maps! Can maps go wrong? The map has been on the car for almost 5 years, with no issues. One more note, over the past week and a bit, the hesitation / judder has definitely got worse...more violent. Does anyone else have any more ideas? I think next option is to maybe take the car back to where it was mapped, take the map off and see if the problem is still there....
  2. Thanks for the replies fellas.. yeah it was a genuine maf, and i agree it seems like a fueling issue. Feels like it's not getting enough fuel so cutting out? maybe? Although will definitely check the throttle body, thanks for the suggestion. Interesting about the hoses, but I think i've had most breather pipes changed. There were a few split ones, along with some dodgy injector seals which was all picked up on the last service I had. I had hoped that these all accumulated to the cause of the issue, but after having the work done, there was still no change.
  3. Hi, Had my Octy for almost 5 years, and it's never missed a beat, until last 6 months. Under acceleration/load the car judders or hesitates. This tends to happen at the lower revs, and then once it gets through those judders, accelerates as normal. Car has had full service including all filters, sparks etc...coil packs changed under recall from Skoda. Car has been scanned for faults and nothing is showing up. A couple of garages have looked at it, plugged in laptops etc, and apparently all curves look fine. The only thing showing up was that the lambda was running a little lean. Although it's had a new lambda and it's still doing it. Am running out of ideas, and just wondered if anyone else had any ideas. Have done a search but the most common fixes tend to be coil or maf related. Maf has been changed too. Car has a stage 1 map (REVO) and one garage suggested to check the map. This was done about 4 years ago, but have never read or found nothing on faulty Revo maps? Doesn't make any difference with regards to which fuel is put in, or whether the weather is hot or cold Thanks in advance Dan
  4. Interested in the subwoofer, if you're willing to post?
  5. 1986 Renault 5 GTS -Quite a nippy little car for a 1.4, pretty much the same engine as the 5 turbo minus the turbo 1987 Ford Escort xr3i - A rust bucket but a good little hot hatch 1988 VW mk1 Golf GTi Convertible -Classic 1996 Honda Integra type-r (jdm) - Best car i've ever owned and one of the best i've ever driven, will prob have another 2004 Skoda Octavia VRs - only had for a few weeks but so far very impressed
  6. Nah, i first thought that, but a quick search on google and apparently it does
  7. Cool thanks, just what i'm after Although i've just spotted this: CLICKY Albeit a tad expensive!
  8. Now there's an option Wouldn't be fussed then about the cd changer not working as i can transfer all songs to the ipod. Are these head units pretty simple to take out?
  9. Had my octy for a couple of weeks now, and have noticed that the cd changer doesn't play any cdr/ws or mp3 discs. And being as most of my collection is mp3 discs, i just wondered what options are available. I know one option is to just replace the headunit, but mine came with skoda satnav as an option, so would ideally like to keep that. I've noticed a few various make cd changers on ebay that are compatible with mp3s etc, but would these just plug straight in? do i need to get a specific make? or is it not as simple as that? Thanks in advance
  10. That's great thanks It might not be an option on this, but i can't also find a way to search for postcode........it seems you can only search for street or town.
  11. Recently bought an '04 vrs. It came fitted with a few optional extras.....one of these being the satnav, which was a bonus. Does anyone know if there is an update available for these? There's a cd which is kept in, which i presume has all the maps etc on. But just wondered whether there was a 'newer' cd/version i could get hold of? Thanks
  12. Cheers for the welcomes Very happy with it so far. Seems like i've found a nice clean example. You need to upload your photos to somewhere like photobucket.........you can then upload them to here
  13. Hello... Just bought myself, today!! an Octavia vrs, and I can say I'm extremely happy I owned a farily modded dc2 before this until 3 months ago was written off by someone going in the side of me. After 2 months of not being able to drive and then 1 month of trying far too many cars lol came across this one in a local garage. Took one drive in it and decided it was the car for me Have no plans for it as yet, but will have a search around this site and just see what are the better mods to do without going overboard. Remap will probably be the first on the cards. Dc2: Octy:
