Guys r u still on original clutch ? mines on 106 k FSH just had third belt and pump change I'm at a crossroads in relation to keeping it I bought it at 48k 6 yrs ago and it's never let me down still good condition and on original exhaust and clutch ,it's warmed up properly and cooled down properly only used for 10 mile plus journeys. It's totally standard I'm thinking of remap but worried re clutch and engine longevity .

Guys finally lost patience with my rear wiper its stopped working again I'm going to remove it what size bung do I need I'm buying a glass or perspex one so need to know exact size if poss. Thanks

Once warmed up it should sit dead on 90 all the time if all is well

Sounds similar to mine which was showing same symptoms as yours .I replaced mine with cheap 6 quid rubbish from eBay i have now bought a genuine one all OK now.I should have known better however mine threw a cel on dash I don't know if its just the ECU side triggers it or the output to temp gauge as well ,when I had it scanned I think it said sensor or thermostat so its a process of elimination .is the sensor a green one ? I'm on my second replacement in 5 yrs 04 plate 89k.

Phil you were right scan showed fault on ECU signal from CTS 28 quid fix happy days. Thanks for advice

Pipes seem OK been driving it today starts idles properly from cold and drives without fault only issue is hot start rpm goes to 2000 blipping throttle brings it down del light still on.I'm starting to suspect CTS as although its stamped with audi logo i cannot be certain its genuine it was changed 3 yr ago ,car has just turned 90k FSH from new inc 3rd belt and pump change.

Was stamped as genuine bought it from a company called jorily automotive Skoda parts retailer will check pipes this morning and post results

Temp OK CTS replaced with green one a couple of yrs ago tb cleaned about 7 months ago running cleanly at all times thanks for your interest which breathers do I need to check please

Guys. Started car after work tonight freezing temps ran fine for 10 miles then eml light came on drove another 6 miles home and switched off ,switched engine on again and rpm shot up to 2000 rpm blipping throttle brought it down again car ran as normal after eml came on. Any ideas? can't get it scanned until weekend

Air con is very weak both fans are operating OK but compressor does not seem to fire up when I switch it on has not been recharged for at least four years (yes I know) would a regass bring it back to life someone said that compressor shuts down when refrigerant level runs low is this the case.

Had mine done on wed £350 inc aux belt tensioner I had gone 4 yrs 22k between changes thought about leaving it for another yr but it was on my mind so I had it done
